Agriturismo SOLE — Hotel in Unione dei Comuni Valdichiana Senese

There are many beautiful stays in Tuscany, but Agritourismo Sole is truly leading the game in its league. First of all, Sole is complied with the COVID rules.

At Sole, you could wake up just before dawn and take a short drive to the famous Crete Senesi (see the photo of a house with zig-zag driveway) for the amazing sunrise. The olive woods are right there on the farm that you could walk in for the freshest breathe. While enjoying the delicious home-made breakfast, why not ask Maria how they met in Latin America or let Santiago tell you about his Patagonia hike? After a busy day touring around, don’t miss the chance to sink in the beach recliner in the front yard while appreciating the stunning milky way before bed.

Sole is a farm stay built on top of a hill, facing west looking down to a typical Tuscany valley. The location is private, safe and peaceful, yet conveniently connected to towns and sightseeing. The two-story guest stay is beautiful, built using the original stones from an old storage on the farm. The rooms are tastefully designed and decorated with vintage furniture from the owner’s family. The place looks exactly as in the official photos. The mattress and bed linens are of hotel standards. The bathroom is spacious. The owners are clearly mindful of the eco impact. There are many energy saving features. The hygiene products are high quality and organic.

Now what makes a guest stay outstanding is always people. Santiago and Maria are two genuinely caring, fun, and respectful hosts. Their great taste, high standard for guest experience, and open-minded perspectives are probably rooted in the fact that they are very well-travelled themselves. They proactively stayed in touch with me all the time in such a natural way that I felt like I was at home with family. They are very willing to get to know you more despite their busy schedules. Yet, if you want to enjoy a quiet stay all to yourself, they’d be respectful and keep distance while always ready to help.

This piece of gem offers you the authentic and uniquely customized Tuscany experience at a great price. No matter how big or small your group is, Maria and Santiago will have the right accommodation for you.

This is the Chinese version of the same review. 尽管托斯卡纳最不缺的就是漂亮的民宿和酒店了，但Sole不仅仍然能够脱颖而出，而且性价比非常高。不要说在这个价位能享受到这样完美的民俗非常难得，有一些独一无二的体验即使在更加奢华和昂贵的住宿也无法得到。先提一句，在疫情期间Sole非常遵守各种防疫措施。

这个民宿建造在一个大农场里，农场上主要是大片大片的橄榄园。和其他托斯卡纳特色的农场一样，主人房和客房两个建筑都在丘陵最高处，俯瞰非常典型的意大利峡谷田园风光。

农场位置很好，独立安静又安全，同时离各种景点小镇都很近，只是确实需要有车才能到达。不自驾的话不是很推荐。在这里，你可以在破晓之前驱车来著名的Crete Senesi领略油画般的日出，也可以在日落时分躲在房里欣赏窗外的黄金麦田和橄榄树，还可以在月挂枝头时在前院的躺椅上抬眼祝福遥相辉映的牛郎和织女星。

个人觉得能够让一个民宿真正焕发勃勃生机的一定是非常有生活情趣的主人。Santiago和Maria就是这样一对非常积极热情有意思的农场夫妇。他们其实并不是通常意义上的农民。有着非常丰富的人生经历，曾经在世界各地生活创业过，有着开阔的眼界。可能也正因为此，他们对这个民宿从设施到客人体验都有很高的自我要求，同时对世界各国的客人都能做到一视同仁。他俩也很尊重客人，喜欢唠嗑的他们愿意花时间陪你谈天说地，喜欢安静的他们就默默守候在你需要的时候给予帮助。两个人都会多国语言。英文的话，Maria很流利，Santiago也不错的。 新建不久的Sole民宿古朴经典，外墙用到的石头都拆自以前农场上的一个老仓库。房间内部干净简洁但不简单。复古家具都来自主人家的家族积累。室内设计是由Maria的设计师弟弟亲自操刀。很显高级但不失温暖。床品舒适干净不输高档酒店。卫生间宽敞明亮，卫浴用品也都是质量很好的有机产品。

另外如果对民宿有什么建议的话，可以和主人交流，他们非常虚心。好了，...

Agriturismo Sole is a bed & and breakfast in the heart of Tuscan countryside. It is owned and operated by a wonderful couple Maria and Santiago. It was our pleasure to stay in this fantastic B&B. It was even a greater pleasure to meet the owners, converse with them, and understand what a hard work it was to maintain such a magnificent property in the middle of Tuscany.

The guest house itself was built last year. It is constructed with stones taken from a centuries old building that used to stand on this plot of land. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of construction, the choice of materials, the fittings and finishes used in rooms and bathrooms. All fixtures, doors, windows, flooring, - everything was of high quality. The bathrooms were large; the showers had great water pressure. Add the special sauce of authentic pieces of old Italian family furniture, fantastic mattresses, pillows and towels, glorious views from windows, and you will not want to leave :)

The breakfast was plentiful and of high quality ingredients. Maria would not tell me where she got the amazing crusty bread she served for breakfast , but the rest of her baking was just glorious. The coffee was great, the olive oil was great, the pastries were great, the homemade jams were great; everything was just right.

The property has serene views from rooms. There are a bunch of friendly animals to entertain you during breakfast, and the location is superb - 45m to Siena, 20m to Montepulciano and 20m to Montelcino. SOLE is within a 5-10 minute drive from a number of absolutely magnificent restaurants.

Please do yourself a favour, and come stay in Agriturismo Sole. It is fantastic place to...

We had a wonderful time at Agriturismo Sole. There are many things to praise about this charming and pastoral place. First thing that came to mind is how welcoming and helpful the hosts are. Maria and Santiago were very nice, warm and quick to help. We came in during Christmas when a lot of local places have non-regular availabilities. They helped us book dinner reservations, and the restaurants turn out to be absolutely amazing. Secondly, the facilities are a cozy combination of modern design and Tuscan-style home. We had extremely nice sleep and stay at the place. The breakfast is extremely delicious with an assortment of pastries, home-made jams, fruits and eggs. But the unequivocal highlight is the olive oil that they produce themselves from their own olive farm. It’s truly one of the best, if not the best, olive oil that we have had in our lives. We learned that their olive oil are extracted from a variety of olives harvested from trees that have been around for 35 years, and their olive oil have won several local competitions. Last but no the least, the view is breathtaking. Every morning, we wake up to the peaceful sunrise that casts warm orange lights over the distant fields. Coming out of the room, we walk into a painting with their olive farm stretching out to meet the lush green field and mountain that spans the horizon. Truly an unforgettable experience.
