Ponte Del Vegnuti — Hotel in Unione di comuni Montana Lunigiana

My husband and I married in Fivizzano in Aug 2016. Our very close family & friends stayed at Ponte del Vegnuti. Well....where do I start?? Firstly the owner & now my friend 'Beatrice' is just such a beautiful person inside & out, alongside Danielle whom also works there. The build up to the wedding took a lot of planning and organising with 67 guests to find suitable accommodation for, from England, Canada & Australia. From the moment I made contact with Beatrice and Danielle they were both nothing but helpful, caring and their attention to details was just amazing. Over the months leading up to the wedding they contacted my guests and made all the nessary arrangements. They provided detailed information and were fantastic at responding back to any questions or special requests. Their organisation skills and attention to all details was so professional but also so very caring. There was some months we spoke nearly everyday finalising details to ensure our wedding guests were taken care of. Then the time soon came around for guests to arrive....WOW is what all thought. Ponte del Vegnuti is just gorgeous, it's so beautiful, set in its own natural beautiful surrounding valley. The whole place oozes peace and tranquility. The little houses are dotted around, each with Italian charm and so well equipped inside and out. Beatrice took care of my family and friends, I felt confident that they were all safe, in Beatrice hands. She even accommodated my great aunt & uncle in there camper van. The swimming pool, the tennis courts, the children's playground are all spotless and so well kept. My family particularly loved the BBQ area and the little stone church to which houses a large table to share a meal. Our wedding was a three day event to which we organised transport for guests, Beatrice & Danielle made sure all guests were given all the information on times of pick up's etc. On the day before our wedding day Beatrice arranged a massage for myself which made for a very relaxed bride. She also arranged for one of my special aunts to have a massage which she loved. What else can I say apart from a huge Thank you on contributing to our perfect wedding and looking after our guests so well. A very special place, if anybody visits this area then I would strongly recommend staying here. We certainly will when we return. The accomodation is nicely situated in the middle of nature and spacious. We had a nice stay, but there are several things that should be improved to live up to the pricing of the complex. ||For example: |The apartment was not so very clean. (Rags and dust)|Sometimes there was hardly any cold water (!) The pressure of warm water was too high, so cold water was reduced. ( not so nice if you want to cool down after a hot day...)|The microwave was broken.|No cushions for the metal chairs on the terras.|Very limited number of dishes. Only 4 little glasses, 4 small coffee cups, no mugs etc. It would be nice and comfortable to have some more available.||Besides the appartment facilities there is also a remark to be made about the hospatality. This could be better. ||The hostess acts more as a demanding guest than a kind and friendly hostess. She is very present with loud talking and publice phone discussions, which is annoying when you are relaxing on your terrace. She also swims an hour a day up and down in the middle of the public swimming pool, even if guests want to swimm as well. We found it strange behaviour for a hostess.||Normally i'm not the complaining or criticizing kind of person, but these things are worth...

We must issue a warning regarding Ponte del Vegnuti. They make double bookings and move families around.||||We booked 2 weeks of holiday here and our friends 1,5 week. But our holiday was shortened and we had to have move to a worse appartement in another village. Our friends could not enter their appartement and had to move to another village. This was a very big disappointment.||||The management said that the reason of moving families was problems with water pipes That was a big lie!||||We found out that they deliberately made double bookings. The management had rented out the complex for a wedding and that is why several families were moved out of their holiday appartements. Confronted with the truth the management confessed but not even apologized!||||Booking Ponte del Venguti is a big risk. Your reservation can be shortened or you can be moved to a totally different accommodation. You can not trust the management that you really can enjoy the complex you booked. We strongly advise you to book your holiday...
