Villa Elisa — Hotel in Unione Rubicone e mare

Villa Elisa is a small hotel in an industrial part of Italy south of Bologna, but not so far from the popular Adriatic resorts. 2013 will be my third year staying there for business. I arrive in the summer to work when it is hot and sweaty. I arrive in the winter to work when the car or truck windshields are covered with ice in the morning. But everything inside the hotel is always perfect. The heating works, the air conditioning works like gang busters, the free Wi-Fi is amongst the best in Italy, free on street parking a few feet from the entrance, it is very quiet for sleeping, and the free breakfast is beyond belief for such a small place. Villa Elisa is run by Gianna, truly the hostess with the mostest! She hand makes pastries every morning, and the place is spotlessly clean. She speaks Italian language, but is slowly learning English, so don't worry about language barriers.The area in general is not expensive, but she just raised the rates to only 38 Euro per person for 2013, which is such a great deal. There is only one restaurant in town, Note di Gusto, which is equally amazing. I have been going there for work, but I am going to find a way to include it in my holiday...

I stayed here for 2 nights and I couldn’t fault this B&B. ||The room was immaculate, and the B&B itself was welcoming and cosy. This villa has been renovated to a high standard and is a great place to stay. ||The hostess was also very professional and couldn’t do more for me on this visit. As usual, we enjoyed our stay in November 2018. Villa Elisa is always a pleasure, and we always stay here when we work in Gambettola. Owner Gianna has informed us that the landlord defaulted on the mortgage and the bank is unsure of the future of the property, so call ahead for visits in 2019. I sure hope that the bank sells the property to her so that this wonderful business can continue for many years...
