Hotel Perrozzi Srl — Hotel in Vasto

Don't be put off by the brutalist architecture of the main hotel building next to the road or the roadside cafe where working locals meet for a beer. The rooms all(?) are in 2 story motel-stlye blocks set in well tended gardens with views of the gardens or distant seas. The hotel has grounds which lead to a cycle path (walk to the town centre or, the other way, to countryside / ancient fishing trabocco fishing machines, or so I'm told, we didn't do it). There is a track through the dunes to the beach, wildlife abounds, which is a private beach, apparently owned by the hotel, though strangely you have to pay to use it. Listen to the incredible birdsong whilst enjoying the sense of peacefullness there. You can hire bicycles.||It was off season and a lot of work was going on outside ready for the summer. This is a hotel for families and there are kids clubs and play areas as well as a pool. The workmen were really proud of their work. It looks as though it's going to be good.||The rooms, however, were very tired and the blocks were like a cross between Butlins and a tropical school or hospital. There was working AC and a fridge, both a bit loud. The usual Italian uncomfortable pillows on a hard bed. ||Staff were friendly, despite the language barrier. Our sparkling wine on arrival was hard to order but cheap and delicious. There are 2 huge dining rooms, deserted, and a breakfast room. There was a huge function for the local rotary club or Italian equivalent. The food at dinner wasn't to our taste. 4 courses, a choice of meat or fish, but pasta was good and hearty. Breakfast was average but plenty of bread and jam and juice.||Location is pretty good, Vasto nearby has loads of great restaurants with fab views over the bay, an interesting small museum with peaceful, fragrant gardens, and some historic churches. Gabriel Rossetti was born there. There are also lots of country parks nearby .||I don't think I would recommend a week for a family unless they love the sea and suggest bed and breakfast if they are fussy eaters as it's not like being at home.||Italian visitors seem to love it, I think August...

This was my second stay at Hotel Perrozzi. I speak fairly good Italian but I always let on that I do not. On checking in the manager quoted a price. When I got to the room, I found that there was no fridge. He said that was no problem and got one.||We stayed 3 days and had an awful time at night with mosquitos.||On checking out we were charged 35 Euros more than agreed on. When we questioned it, he said that I must not have understood and that there was also a charge for the fridge. In the rest of the 3 weeks travelling southern Italy we were never charged extra for a fridge or anything else.||When we got home we wrote a letter to the tourism board in Vasto. After many exchanges, he told the tourism board that he would refund 35 Euros. We have never seen it.||There are many other hotels in Marina di Vasto. On our return trip we stayed at one of them and experienced no problems.!||I would avoid hotel perrozzi, especially if your native language is...

Verrebbe facile scrivere benvenuti all'hotel Fantozzi, ma non ricalcherebbe la realtà che è ancora peggio. Prenotato una matrimoniale, comunicato che avrei portato un cane come previsto, quando siamo arrivati ci è stata data una stanza a piano terra nel giardino in una posizione terribile, con muro davanti, deposito materiale di pulizia di fianco e serbatoi dell'acqua. Non abbiamo voluto polemizzare subito perché eravamo stanchi, avevano preso tre notti di ritorno da altri posti e siamo andati in spiaggia, gentili i ragazzi che ci lavorano, lettini e sdraio risalenti ad almeno 15 anni, docce a pagamento ma in un piazzale lurido, e la chicca, il bagno, una scena da horror, non allego le foto per non disturbare. Ok, andiamo a "cena" dove ci servono un primo agghiacciante, fusilli alla carbonara sicuramente riscaldati più volte, e fusilli al sugo, anche questi terribili, i secondi fatti in economia e di scarsa porzionatura, e quando andiamo al "buffet della frutta" che troviamo? Anguria anguria anguria 🍉😝 il dormiente che serviva non riusciva a ricordare dove portare i piatti e questo la dice lunga. La stanza, pulita bene, ma chiaramente in disuso, con odore di muffa nell'armadio, per 4 persone, ma se qualcuno si fosse accomodato sul letto in foto, voilà ecco che bei pezzi di tubo che sporgono dal muro. Aria condizionata che dalle 6 alle 17 circa funzionava decentemente, dopo quell' orario diventava inutile, il ventilatore a soffitto avevo paura di metterlo se non al minimo perché poteva staccarsi, insomma davvero un posto terribile. Mi hanno detto delle persone che le stanze come la nostra sono date tipo pensione o colonia estiva, e che si meravigliavano che ci avessero dato quella camera. Comunque, il mattino dopo, l'area colazione era eccellente, ben servita, molto assortita, e ben pulita. Purtroppo dopo la giornata, tornati nel girone del ristorante, abbiamo notato che la frutta veniva presa d'assalto, e che molti contorni erano gli stessi del giorno prima, i primi erano egualmente terribili, i secondi accettabili. A quel punto, fatte due tre telefonate, abbiamo trovato altro e siamo andati via il mattino successivo, dopo la colazione. Personale al banco stanco ma professionale, pulizie buone, staff area colazioni...
