Mum's Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Vicenza

My husband took me to this wonderful B&B for my birthday. It is located just a short distance from Ederle Army Military Base in Vicenza. They had ample parking, which always seems to be a problem here in Italy. The owners speak English which is a big plus for us. They had set an elegant table for two on an enclosed patio. The weather was wonderful but being in an enclosed area is always nice. All the food was homemade and fresh from their garden. They also included a prosecco, red wine with our steak(cooked perfect to our taste), after dinner drinks, dessert (so yummy), and grappa. The owners even had a hot tub that we used. As we lounged in the hot tub we finished our wine and enjoyed the star filled night. They had lighted candles which added to the romantic setting for two. The bedroom is upstairs from their living space so it is actually very private. There is also a separate entrance so you can come and go as you please. The bed was the size of a American king bed and there is a full ensuite bathroom with shower. There is also a small balcony off the bedroom, wifi, and a TV. The area was large, quiet and we had a great night sleep. In the morning they had a variety of items to choose from including fresh scrambled eggs. My wife and I picked Mum's Bed and Breakfast on a whim - although the already stellar reviews didn't hurt. What a great B&B. You will not find more congenial hosts anywhere. Very welcoming, helpful with places to visit, reservations at a local restaurant - they go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We were there two nights. Very nice room, private entrance, private bathroom and breakfast was outstanding. A traditional continental breakfast or if you wish an American style breakfast with eggs, sausage etc.||||If you get a chance to sample their wine or get to salivate over their home grown tomatoes it will be no wonder you feel like family.||||Not close to public transit but with a car ideally situated near Vicenza and Verona. Only about an hour from Lake Garda. Great place, great hosts. Can't say enough.||||Some may find the later check in and early check out a bummer but don't let that deter you from staying here. I went to this place with my husband. The hospitality was nice, Luisa the owner was really welcoming. The room was nice and the room had its own restroom. For breakfast, there was an assortment of food and choices. The location is perfect if you want travel around because you are 5 minutes from the autostrada.
