OK, so, I don't go for 4/5 star hotels unless the price is right and I have been quite a few places around the world, so take this in the context of the price and what you're after. For a 3 star hotel and the price we paid on this trip, it was EASILY the best bang for buck I've ever paid for hotel wise.||||Now down to the hotel itself, the staff (although we only really saw the lady - Johanna?) are second to none, very helpful and pleasant. There is a sauna that you can ask at reception to use, it is very clean, modern and relaxing - there were 2 options normal and infra-red. No music on, but there are some plugs, so if you are on your own, you can play some soft music (not blaring of course!!) and really chill out in the seating/lounge areas provided.||||The breakfast was good, there's a selection of meats, jams and cheeses to go the bread provided as well as cereal. We were offered a warm drink each morning, but also within the selection are fruit juices.||||The room itself was amazing. The bathroom was large, with a big bath, bidet, shower and toilet as well as a huge sink with mirror. Soap was provided along with toilet rolls - just so you know, but of course this is expected. The bedroom was large, with a balcony, although the view from that room was limited to the right and in shade, it was still a really nice look up one side of the mountains with animals grazing. The living room was the best part, a gorgeous wall light that was modern, yet kept with the wooden feel of the Tyrol region, the TV was a nice Panasonic Viera that we relaxed under the provided soft throws and hooked up the laptop via HDMI to watch Amazon Prime and it was like a home away from home.||||There is a kitchenette provided and a table to eat at, 2 hobs, sink, fridge and some utensils, some pans/plates/glasses/cups and some tableware is also provided. Another great addition is a LAN cable RJ45 port, I understand this isn't the most needed thing, but for me it was great to see as I've had poor WiFi in hotels before.||||The hotel itself is located a minute or so drive South from Lake Vernago and further north 5-10 mins drive to the Maso Corto mountain area, the final driving stop here. There are buses, but we never used them. Within walking distance west is the ArcheoParc Val Senales which centres around the found Otzi corpse. There is also a local Spar shop in the same direction over the road from the hotel which is like any corner shop really.||||Restuarants are quite difficult to come by, especially at the start of the week, but if you want to drive back south, you can find plenty in Merano, or on the way to there and there are a couple within closer reach, but the one that stood out for us was the Gruener in Karthaus, where they speak German, Italian...
