Skigebiet und Wandergebiet Sulden am Ortler — Hotel in Vinschgau - Val Venosta

Had a nice experience with them. With the Vinachgau card (given at the hotel) we received 10% discount.

The cable car cabin is spacious and carries multiple groups. You get to a halfway point and change to a 2nd car that finally takes you to the top. The staff are very friendly (speak Italian and German) and are happy to share the history of the place. On the way you can see the hiking trail.

I've been vacationing in the Alps for dozens of years but this definitely beats every other place. The mountains are gorgeous. It's right at the foot of one of Italy's highest mountains, the majestic Ortles. The lower valley surroundings are also worth the visit with some ancient castles and towns such as Glorenza. Sulden is not widely known and popular skiing destination, yet it has amazing slopes, great views and is not overcrowded. This is why I love it. Due to it's high elevation snow is sharp and there is a lot of it . On sunny days views are breathtaking. What is special for this place - due to specific mountain topography easy blue (and wide) slopes are on higher altitudes (accessible by large cable car) while the lowest slopes are much steeper.
