Hotel Maibad — Hotel in Wipptal - Alta Vall'Isarco

The owners - now 5th generation - are wonderful, multi-lingual hosts. "Mom and Dad" cook excellent meals - actually, "Mom" is a true jack-of-all-trades. There's a 4-course meal with a choice of two appetizers and two entrees each evening, or you could opt to eat out, which would be a rather bad choice on your part. The salad and vegetable buffet is clean, fresh and most ample. ||Breakfast buffet: mountain climbers will not leave hungry! Hot tip: Mom's cooked-to-order scrambled eggs are delicious!||Our room was spacious, squeaky-clean and comfortable. There's a mini-fridge for chilling drinks.||Hotel Maibad is located across the road from the Rosshopf - Monte Cavallo cable car. The visitor's card supplied by the hotel gets you a discount there. ||Also located across the road are a bakery (Try the apple strudel!) and a fair-sized store that sells soft drinks and beer, as well as a rather large selection of wine and spirits. ||We would love to return to Hotel Maibad again next year. The location is great for anyone coming to going to the Brennan pass, it is located right near the road and has good parking, it was very easy to find. The room was really clean, comfortable and spacious. The day we stayed the restaurant was closed so we ate at the pizza restaurant across the road. That was ok but expensive, better take a short walk and find somewhere else! The hotel breakfast was a buffet with lovely coffee, cereals, yogurt, bread and cheese plus meats. We were provided a room which smells terribly musty. The room was dim and dirty.||The light bulb in front of our house was left burned out, so we had to manage to open and shut the door with big difficulties.||The housekeeper did not change the bed sheet at all, threw the dead fly lying on the floor not to the trash but into the toilet seat and left it. The fly wasn’t drained but was endlessly floating on the water, which was so disgusting, uncomfortable and forced us to pick up it and throw it to the trash. What is more, the housekeeper put the shampoos covered with horrible dust and the left the window opened, so we had to suffer from many flies and mosquitoes.||The receptionists always absent from the reception which they must be at, played with their kids somewhere and don’t help you. The laptop at the reception is left switched on, so everybody could easily watch the customers’ personal information. The staffs don’t care about our security at all.||The “free” wifi doesn’t work at all in your private room. Works only on the first floor. In short, it’s not worthy to drop your money on this hotel!||They don't have any moral sense and don't do sanitary...
