Hotel Wieser — Hotel in Wipptal - Alta Vall'Isarco

A beautifully renovated family-owned hotel with very comfortable beds and just INCREDIBLE cuisine! We travel extensively but honestly have not had such wonderfully crafted meals anywhere else in the world (top quality local ingredients are used daily both in the extensive breakfast buffet and the four-course evening meal). And the desserts? Just wow. A great selection of local wines makes the dining experience even more satisfying.||The calming dining room interior features a panoramic window looking out onto the village landscape and mountains. Just outside the hotel entrance, a spacious terrace with comfortable design furniture invites guests to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine outside on warm, sunny days. Pure bliss. Well… almost.||Two big reasons we won’t be coming back:||1. Hotel location - smack in the middle of an ACTIVE farming village (the smell of manure was overpowering even on rainy days, it is literally everywhere!) — not something the owners can change of course but it was just too much for us.||2. Our room (in the hotel wing where dogs are allowed) wasn’t cleaned properly. There was a thick layer of dust both under the foldout sofa, and under the parents bed upon arrival. Then we found a long, thick hair under my pillow and another blond one on the floor :-/ Yuck. ||The sofa and the upholstered bench seemed to not have been vacuumed in weeks (or months). Not sure this was due to lack of training or just carelessness on the side of the cleaning staff. They seemed very kind and attentive...

Needed a room on short notice in or near Vipiteno. Frankly, was just as happy finding something a little out of town, as I was driving.||||Then I read the then-five reviews of the Hotel Wieser.||||Not possible, thought I. 5 five-star reviews, all from recent guests?||||Make it six. :-)||||A boutique hotel just a few minutes' drive outside of town, in a too-good-to-be-true little hamlet on the side of a valley (as I described it to some back in the States) almost too beautiful to be true.||||Elegantly-simple brand new rooms.||||Impeccable multilingual staff.||||Gourmet regional cuisine on site.||||A laid-back Alpine vibe between staff and cosmopolitan guests that was genuine and heartfelt.||||Plus a lovely pool/sauna/spa combo to soak away the day's aches.||||You won't regret anything about staying here - except when you have to leave.||||Top-shelf...

Location: l'hotel si trova a Campo di Trens, in un posto davvero carino e molto tranquillo. L'hotel, appena ristrutturato, da fuori è davvero bello, e dà un grande clima di accoglienza. Si trova a 5 min di macchina da Vipiteno e dalla partenza degli impianti di Monte Cavallo, molto comodo.

Camere: la camera è molto semplice ed elegante. Letto grande e comodo, bagno davvero bello (con anche il phon) e con una doccia molto grande. E' presente una TV moderna, una cassaforte a combinazione, una bottiglia d'acqua fresca (che viene riempita tutte le mattine), un divano e un bellissimo balconcino con due sedie. L'armadio grande e spazioso. Vengono dati asciugamani, teli per la zona benessere e accappatoi con ciabatte.

Cibo: tutte le sere la cena è composta da 5 portate. Vi è un buffet di verdure, dov'è possibile servirsi a proprio piacimento, un formaggio tipico come piccolo assaggio e un saluto della cucina (che cambia sera per sera). A seguire una scelta tra due primi, una scelta tra due secondi e infine un dolce. Il cibo è di altissima qualità e il cuoco davvero bravo, tutto ciò che offrono è davvero buonissimo e soprattutto impiattattato alla perfezione, con molta cura anche nei dettagli. La colazione sicuramente non è da meno: è presente una ricchissima varietà di scelte, a partire da cornetti di ogni tipo (crema, marmellata, vuote e con il cioccolato), bomboloncini, yogurt e cereali, latte e biscotti, salumi e formaggi, uova e miele fresco. Su richiesta è anche possibile ordinare ai camerieri piatti a base di uova.

Servizi: è presente una piccola area benessere, con una bellissima sauna, una piscina con idromassaggio, e dei lettini comodi sui quali riposare. Vi è anche un lato dedicato alle bevande, dov'è possibile prendere the, tisane o semplice acqua. L'hotel offre anche un parcheggio riservato e una stanza adibita al deposito di sci e scarponi. All'arrivo viene dato un drink di benvenuto (uno per persona) e un buono di 10€ da spendere al bar. Ovviamente vi è il WiFi gratuito. Il personale è super carino e disponibile, molto preparato e riuscirà sicuramente ad accontentare tutte le richieste.
