Hidden gem I must say, and it is worth to visit. I was looking for Camping spot around Higashikawa and google brought me here. I saw road sign of Asahikawa 21st Century Forest months ago but I didnt dare to visit because I didnt have car. I thought it was near but it took 30 minutes to go there by car. Roughly the same distance to Biei-Cho. The road was very quiet I almost felt that we were lost. Very few people go there on weekday I guess.
I was surprised to see this forest park. Coverage area was wide. They have Camping site, Bungalow, Log House (10 people), Tar House, Park Golf, Free Hotspring (but you are not allowed to use shampoo and soap).
Camping site is free (bring own tent). Bungalow is ¥3,150/one night, inside there are small kitchen and dining tools for 6 people. Sleeping bag/bedding set is rented for ¥1,000 (all-in) or ala carte for flexible option.
They have spot for campingcar as well. Bungalow and Camping site are open untill end of november, Log house is open in the winter season as...

Be warned the closest supermarket is 35 mins away in the local town so bring supplies. The fridge is big enough, with a little freezer.
There is a 100 yen onsen but you cannot use soap or...
