Platon Hotel — Hotel in Asahikawa

There are only 2 good points to this hotel: (1) It's one of the cheapest in Asahikawa (we paid 5600 for 2 people one night), and (2) there is a free internet linked computer to use on the second floor.||||There are a number of disturbingly bad points. First off, the elevator doesn't work and apparently hasn't worked in a LONG time. Since even the front desk is on the second floor, everyone will be doing some hard stair climbs with luggage.||||Secondly, the water is probably not fit for human consumption. There is no sign regarding this, but the refrigerators are stocked with bottled water (one per person!) free. It says "Please enjoy this water free of charge!" Then you read the fine print: "By the way, if you use the hot water/tea maker, USE THE BOTTLED WATER!" (Emphasis and translation mine). ||||We took a good look at the water from the tap (NOT labeled undrinkable) and after it got an inch deep in a glass, the bottom of the glass was no longer visible. ||||Finally, the hotel window was OK, but the window sill had serious problems. 航空券等とセットにしたパック（自分で組み立てる旅行）で泊まりました。||「場所は駅から近くで便利」となっていたのに、めちゃくちゃ遠い。歩くと15分～20分。||まずチェックイン時に明細を渡されました。パック旅行なのに料金明細？？？、部屋着はフロント横に置いてあるのを持って行ってください。だそうです。翌朝のチェックアウトが早朝だと伝えると、フロントに鍵を置いて行ってください。だそうです。||部屋のテレビはいつの時代のテレビか。ブラウン管テレビでした。部屋も汚い。壁にはシミだらけ。||夜、夕飯を食べに旭川駅周辺へ行くのも徒歩かタクシーしかなく、結局タクシー代がかかってしまうんです。||ホテルに戻ってくると、フロントのカウンターの上に部屋の鍵が置いてあります。午前0時を過ぎたので、置かせてもらいましたのメモ書き付きで。セキュリティーなんて全くないです。||翌朝は、5時出発だったのですが、やはり誰もおらずフロントに鍵を置いて勝手にチェックアウトでした。セキュリティーは悪く部屋も古い。こんなことなら、別のホテルに宿泊すればよかった。...
