It’s a very clean and well maintained hotel and most important is the host Kent San who has taken care of us during our stay as well as Takashi San who is in-charge of our meals.
Last week, we stayed two nights to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and they have surprised us during dinner with a beautiful cake that made our stay there so unforgettable.
During our first night, Kent San shared with us his famous photos taken at the blue pond in different seasons as well as many other spots around Biei where he has taken beautiful photos. He is passionate about his work and very generous to share. Enjoy the evening chatting till late.
We did a photo tour with him and learnt where he has shot some of his photos and share some tips on photography at the different locations. It’s highly recommended if you like to shoot.
The morning breakfasts were so good with freshly baked croissants (the best I have ever taken) by Takashi San. The salad and milk is so fresh every morning. Missing it already.

This small operator villa hotel consist of few bed rooms with extremely friendly staff. Instead of Japan language problem, we were lucky to have "Miko" a Taiwanese friendly girl who works here as an assistant to the owner. She making our stay perfect and wonderful. The rooms are very neat and clean with two private & romantic hot spring bathtub at the first floor. The meals here are so fascinating with combination of modern Japanese and french gourmet. The lady chef who also one of the partner here cooks & serves gourmet food with top ingredients. The other guy owner (in the center of the pic) took a lot of amazing photographs and displayed in the hotel. Many attractions near by such as Blue pond, volcano mountain, jungle hot spring, famous ice cream & espresso cafe, sausages restaurant and etc... My personal advise is to ask them to show you around. I enjyed my...

He’s the most hospitable and generous host we’ve ever encountered.||Kent-san took care of every detail of our stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We didn’t have time to use their onsen baths but I must commend the baths are the cleanest I’ve ever seen.||Dinner prepared by the chef and his mum, was a true delight, with generous portions, delicious flavours, and a comforting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.Breakfast next day was as elaborate and unforgettable. The homemade croissants were the best we’ve ever had.||This auberge is a gem, not just because it’s close to the famous Biei Pond, but the high hospitality standards set by Kent-san and his team.
