Yatsugatake Sanso — Hotel in Chino

Booked a room for 2 in late December, cost about 11,000 yen a night with two meals provided. You can get there by the Celerin bus on weekdays and Alpico on weekends in winter, (or just Alpico in summer) and thus not too difficult to access without a car. Booking doesn't require a Japanese phone number and can be booked easily by foreigners. Payment is on-site.

The cabin is in close proximity to a good number of walking trails which are clearly marked and not too difficult. The rooms are well heated and while the TV is a little small, it does have a range of interesting channels.

While the shower water isn't very warm, they have a small-ish hot spring bath at a great warm temperature of maybe 40ish degrees where you can soak, which is really great especially in winter. Note that towels are not provided, you will have to bring your own towels and figure out how to dry them. For us our towels dried by themselves after hanging them up in the winter due to low humidity.

The food was really unexpectedly good, arguably one of the best meals we had on the trip and really impressed us considering how out of the way the cabin was. We got served a good selection of dishes, even having a full stuffed chicken for one night.

All in all, while slightly pricey due to the locale, this is a great location for people intending to hike in the area, especially those without cars, would...

なんと夜中の１２時半位でも外の店先でFree wi-fi が使える。パスコードは営業時間内に取得する必要がある。夜通し電灯のついた店前のテラス席でなら電波の良いwi-fi が飛んでる。(２０２３年１０月)。

(翌日夕方) 東京に帰る途中 １５:３０位にお伺いした。店が開いていたことにも驚いた。扉を明けた途端、まさかの下山客？(今時の登山家達って 皆すごく身なりがいいし体も綺麗) でごった返していたので多少戸惑ってしまった。わたしはというと 「何か温かいそばでも食べたい」と思い『温かいとろろ蕎麦の大盛り』が可能だというのでお願いした。大きなハトバス？ が２台来て誰もいなくなった。

どう見てもハタチ位の若いお嬢さんがご用意くださった殆どメガ盛りサイズ、の大盛り。(わ〜い、ヤッタヤッタ) 、味は昔の丸政の蕎麦(昔々その昔超美味しかった) みたいでついガツガツ食べてしまった。ツユも光っていた！ こういう普通に作ったものが全てにおいて丁度よく美味しいという喜びをどのようにここで伝えたらいいのだろう。この手合いの蕎麦としては随分いい麺を使用しておられるのではないかと思う、それもあったかもしれない。たまたま作ってくれた若いお嬢さんが お料理のセンスのある人だったのかもしれない。美味しかった。本当に。

それに今時プラス１００円で大盛りが出てくるなんて南信ではもはや珍しい、しかもとても美味しかったわけで。

スタッフの対応は良いです。 深夜の仮眠はとても便利、 100円で利用するトイレはキレイに清掃されています。 食事での利用はありませんが、評判が良いので利用してみたいです。

2023年更新 お風呂利用、遅い時間で空いていました、きちんと清掃されていて良かった。洗い場は３箇所位ですかね、 湯船は５人位が限界かなと。 シャワーの温度調節が少し面倒です。 湯船の温度は少し熱めで下山後の身体には最高でした。 下山後すぐに入れるお風呂はありがたいです。 ドライヤー1台ありました。

食事利用、カツカレー1000円食べました。 提供までまぁまぁ待ちました、豚カツは揚げたてで熱々、サクサクで結構大きい豚カツです。 カレーは３種類から選べました、 間違っていなければビーフカレー、キーマカレー、バターチキンカレーの３種類だったと思います。カレーはレトルトっぽい感じでしたが、コスパは悪くないと思います。美味しかったです。 ただ、日焼けした唇にサクサクの豚カ...
