Stayed 1 night on November 29 in Japanese-Style Room ๐๐ฝPros: Free shuttle bus to and for Sapporo station A variety of complimentary tea bags in the lobby Public bath is awesome! There are 7 kinds of baths. My favorite one is the open bath, where I bathed when it was snowing. What a extraordinary experience. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style. Many options and food is yum. Some reviews mentioned that the facilities/room seemed old, but I found the vintage Japanese-Style room comfortable and great. I really enjoyed the stay! There are 2 massage chairs next to public bath.
๐๐ฝCons: Not many staffs speak English so it's a bit difficult to communicate. It took a while for the front desk staff to find our bookings. Private bath is not worth it. It's a waste of money. Needs to put up signs about the etiquette of using public bath. When I took a shower in the public bath, the Korean group all showered while standing and kept splashing. They chatted loudly and shouted at each other. One of them even kicked water in...

Many accommodations only take up to 4 people per room. ๆนฏๅ ใใญใใญๅฑฑ่ has good sized Japanese rooms to take all five of us.||||I started to check for place right next to the lake, but better ones are very expensive and often, their meals aren't as well rated. ๆนฏๅ ใใญใใญๅฑฑ่ achieves a good balance.||||Rooms are spacious and clean. Meals are buffet style, with a help-yourself-barbecue. Varieties not amazing, but food quality and freshness commendable. The onsen is quite big for a mid-sized hotel. It has the usual sauna, outdoor onsen and indoor variations. || ||The hotel has a free shuttle to another onsen, but we didn't go. Although it's not next to the lake, it's just a short drive away. ||||It's not a place to wow a guest, but I would recommend staying here if you don't want to pay too much for a lakeside...
