WOODSMAN CAMPGROUND — Hotel in Doshi

Highly recommend Woodsman Campground! We emailed and booked the campsite and camping gear months in advance. Shinsuke was kind to take our booking via email - most campsites needed us to call on the landline and speak Japanese.

We flew in from Singapore without any camping equipment. We cannot speak Japanese, but the staff were patient and friendly with us even though it was a busy weekend. We rented a tent, sleeping bags, tarp, tables and chairs, fire, gas stove and cooking utensils. All the equipment were good quality brands, and in clean and working condition. We got everything set up quickly with the help of the staff - Shinsuke and Yoochan.

The toilets and showers were clean and smelled fresh. The kitchen was clean and the water was clean.

We had such a good time - there was a bonfire at night and people gathered around to roast marshmallows. Even though it was fully booked, the campsite was peaceful and quiet at night.

The view of the star at night was breathtaking. It was the highlight of our trip.

The river is fun to visit too. We wish to come back during summer to dip into the river and play more.

Best camping experience in Japan! The site is very well located near the river with a nice mountain view. The kids (and the adults) absolutely loved the giant bonfire with marshmallows and hanabi. And the staff is very friendly and so helpful that was truly amazing. 他の方も書かれていますが、スタッフさんの対応はとても良かった。 事前の電話・現地での対応・宿泊後のリクエストなど丁寧な対応をして頂きました。 平日利用でしたが、数日前に電話で「天気が良かったら行きます」と予約せずに行ったら、受付にメモで「天気が良かったら飛び込みあるかも」とメモが貼ってあったそうです。（ちょっと感動した）

ゴミは全て持ち帰りですが、ゴミ袋を頂きました。 灰入れは各サイトにあります。 トイレはきれいで中に入るとお洒落なお店？と思わせる作り。 水場のシンクもきれい。 週末はスタッフさんが泊まり込む事もあるそうです。

あとコラボキャンペーン中という事でお豆腐頂きました（笑）

◆入口側の林間サイト一番下を利用した感想。 沢からの風が心地よい。 平日という事もあり、静かに過ごせた。 一番下まで荷物を降ろすのが大変。 ※入口側林間サイトのみ車両乗り入れ不可 水場・トイレがそれなりに遠い。 週末早朝は道志道を走るバイク（マフラー改造車）の音が響く。 川に下りるのが危険（上りは意外と楽） 地面が柔らかく、バトニングで薪がめり込む。

気になった点をいくつか書いていますが、これまで利用してきたキャンプ場と比べてもかなり高評価で、また行くと思います。 いや確実に行きます。
