Shikibu Onsen Yurari — Hotel in Echizen

We loved Yurari ..we spent 2 hours here relaxing in the waters & spas & steam rooms ..men & women are seperate ..so my husband & son did their thing & I was on my own ..the centre is very clean and organised ..your entry fee includes washer & towel hire ..your shoes you leave behind in a locker ..you get a key to store your belongings ..I loved the outdoor spas & water areas ..the cave spa was great & the scented spa ..while I was in the outdoor bath I had a great view of Mount Fuji ..I found it very relaxing & took my time trying out all the different areas ..there are plenty of skin products to try ..if you pay extra you can get a massage & bodywash ..I didn’t do this ..my husband & son said they enjoyed the experience as well . ..we didn’t try the restaurant but it looked good ..well worth going to this place..there is a free bus to & from Kawaguchiko Station ..otherwise you can taxi there but costs...

Don’t let the relatively small carpark fool you on what’s inside... for 600, 650 yen per adult to use their onsen (depending on the time), you get to enjoy their beautiful and natural hot spring, they have a lounge too (both table/chair sitting and tatami style), a small restaurant, a massage parlour, and you get to ride their cool and high tech diagonal elevator. Their onsen comes with 11 bath tubs (I counted 8, maybe I missed some) of varying temperatures, mineral composition and features. I used this place for the first time (May 2025). It was absolutely wonderful. For around 7,000 yen (about $50) per night without meals, you get unlimited access to the hot springs. The baths are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and are included in the room rate. The hot spring water quality is excellent, and the facilities are spacious and clean. The front desk service was also outstanding. Meals are available at the attached restaurant, with delicious dishes priced between 700 and 2,000 yen. The staff service there was flawless.
