Uminos — Hotel in Etajima

Beautiful island views, clear water & wide expanse of white sand beach. Newly remodeled hotel with meals, hot-spring & Seaview rooms. Unfortunately a lot of plastic trash on beach (mostly plastic tubes & spacers of nearby floating oyster farms). A problem for all beaches along this Seto-inland sea coast, but nice to see staff cleaning up here during summer mornings making it more pleasant for beachgoers and hotel guests.

Since changed to UMINOS addition of stylish lounging chairs, open air bar on first floor and BBQ facilities are part of new remodel in addition to hot-bath and rooms upgrades. This makes it a much more stylish and welcoming facility.

Nice small shrine on beach. Showers & kayak, sup rentals only seem open in high-season (school summer break time end of July to August). Location of Sea to Summit race help at end of June (Montbell).

砂浜にそのまま建っているような小さなホテル。||思った以上にこじんまりしてたけど、||スタッフさんたちが全員とても感じが良くて過ごしやすかった。||||「大浴場」は、小・中浴場くらいのサイズ。でも平日だったおかげで泊っている人も少なくて、居合わせた3人が利用するには十分な広さだった。||海に面した大きな窓が気持ちよかった。||||お部屋も、8畳の和室の写真だけ見ると、凄く古めかしく狭い雰囲気に見えたけど、実際は玄関のたたきが結構広いし、窓際に椅子を置いてあるスペース、広縁もあるので、そんなにせせこましい印象なく、快適に過ごせた。||お布団は自分で敷く簡易タイプ。マットだけなので、ふかふかが好きな人には物足りないかも。我が家は十分だった。||||暑い中BBQはつらいと思って、室内レストランを見越し、タコづくし会席を選んだのに、まさかの1階のオープンカフェ風レストランでの配膳。||でも海風が心地よく、赤紫の絶景の夕焼けを、窓越しではなくナマで見ながらのお食事は、思いのほか素敵で、室内レストランで食べるよりきっと良い経験になった。||先に食べ終わった息子は、海辺にある木のブランコや、ベンチで楽しそうに過ごしていた。||||江田島でとれたタコやお刺身は新鮮で美味しいし、全体的に手間がかかっていて、天ぷらも熱々で、とても美味しかった。||お子様御膳もなかなかのボリュームで満足。||||海は透明度が高かったけど、午後に入ったせいか、残念ながらどこかから流れてきたゴミが多かった。||でも砂浜は、毎朝掃除されているようで綺麗だった。||平日＆コロナの煽りもあり海は数家族のみの、ほぼ貸し切り状態。||バナナボートが動いてなかったり屋台もやってないのが残念だったけどいたしかたなし。||||こんな素敵なリゾートが、都会からすぐ近くだなんて、広島県民は幸せだなあ。||江田島、ウミノス、...
