The 19 room high-end hotel is exactly what you would expect and more. It was much like staying at an Aman hotel. ||We had a nice ocean view room with our own jacuzzi. Hiramatsu, whose origin and forte is in the French restaurant business in Hiroo Tokyo, served up wonderful meals. We spent our first night having a course dinner in the restaurant. Each dish was carefully made and with some type of surprise, be it in presentation, preparation, ingredient, or spice, and with some dishes served in authentic Japanese serving ware juxtaposed with traditional French. The second night we ordered room service on our outdoor terrace watching the stars to the sound of waves, after a long jacuzzi. ||They will cart you around the hotel premises and arrive at your villa exactly to the minute you request (punctual like a Shinkansen train).||(For wine lovers: Their wine list, while short, is eclectic and diverse comprised of high level wineries that are not of the highest level names, which is a good message about the extensive knowledge of the sommelier and therefore the selections are mostly rare wines. Most of their wines are imported directly as you will not see the importer names on the back label. You should also try an awamori which is a local Okinawan rice-based distilled spirit. 15+ year aged are as smooth and glycerol as outstanding aged whiskies/brandies)||Could keep writing about the relaxing experience, hotel & hotel grounds and service. But you really should go there to experience it for yourselves. Truly a top level hotel. You will want to spend much of the day at the hotel, pool, spa, and private beach rather than touring about.||In short it was the best hotel in Japan to date! And again on the same...
Read moreOur family stayed here for 2 nights occupying 2 villas. There are only a handful of villas in this resort, making it very private, depending on which villa you are allocated to. My villa happened to be located on top of a slope with no neighbours around me so it was very private. My parents' villa however was sandwiched between other villas and anyone walking past can see their room and them soaking in the outdoor jauzzi.||That aside, the resort is very luxurious with very clean and modern facilities. Our villa came with complimentary beach sandals that you can bring home, luxurious Bvlgari toiletries, a basket of high quality bath amenties, bath sachets and a fully stocked mini bar with complimentary drinks (juices, teas, Perrier, isotonic drinks). There are also complimentary bath robes, hoodie and shorts sets and pyjamas for our use during our stay. Guests can also borrow their washing machine cum dryer if they wish to launder clothes on their own.||Our villa will be turned down twice a day - once when we are out for the day and once during dinner. ||Breakfast is included in our stay as well as complimentary tea break snacks are offered in the afternoon. Breakfast varies from Western or Japanese daily and it is a fixed menu. Tea break items include sandwiches, ice cream, muffins, etc with tea, coffee or juices. ||We had dinner in the resort on both nights - a fantastic French/Italian fusion menu that took us over 2 hours to savour the delicious meal.||Service overall is attentive...
Read moreWe had a wonderful time staying in this hotel with super friendly staffs and highly professionally services. We happened to stay six nights in this resort with an extra night due to the typhoon but the hotel just charged a portion of the original cost for hat extra night as they know we can not go anywhere. The staffs served us free lunch and provided us refill of amenities under super windy condition and that really warmed us. We stayed at the villa suite with separate living and dinning room. Every morning the staffs would prepare our breakfast at the dinning room with different styles such as western and Japanese alternatively. This is a small luxury hotel with only 20 some rooms as I remembered. We happened to tried the Italian restaurant at that night of the typhoon and the food is up to the standard for a decent quality restaurant. The pool inside our villa is nice to have fun with the kids and the big hotel pool is good too. The location of the hotel is a bit remote and quite a drive from the downtown. However, it is quite near the famous aquarium. The ocean view is excellent but the beach down the cliff looks dirty from a distance, so we didn't bother to get to it. Overall, this is a luxury hotel come with a price, but other than the money, the service quality an hotel condition are excellent. Great for family and couple that want a quiet...
