ゆの宿 上越館 — Hotel in Honshu

Absolute royal treatment at the Joetsukan. Toshi-San took great care of us. The green tea he served at check in was one of the best we’ve ever had, so we bought some on the way out too. Private onsen outside is booked ahead and magical. The indoor private onsens, accessible 24hrs, are equally beautiful. Rooms come with a full fridge, all drinks included (with sake!). Kaiseki dinner included wagyu beef and a local plum liqueur. We got to try some interesting Japanese foods such as konnyaku and yuba which was fun. Definitely recommend the Japanese breakfast too. This is such a magical place! The onsen is wonderful; such a beautiful, peaceful setting. We visited in the winter, and the snow throughout the valley was gorgeous. 自宅から、1.5時間程度で行けるのと口コミ評価が高かったので、選択して宿泊しました。高速道路から５キロ程度走った所に宿があり、道路には雪を解かす施設もあったので、全くスムーズに到着できました。||||「あざみ」という離れの部屋を選びました。||部屋に入りますと、全体的に温められていてとても良い感じがしました。||部屋は、大きな部屋が２つと露天風呂が付いていて設備的にも宿泊代の割には充実していると感じました。||||宿周辺を散策できるコースもあるということですが、残念ながら積雪があってとても散策は出来ませんでした。次回は、雪の無い時期に泊まりに行きたいと感じました。||||本館には、４つの部屋があり、家族風呂が２つありました。また、宿から200m位離れた所に露天風呂があり、空いていれば無料で使用できると聞き夕方入りました。午後４時半頃でしたが、隣接する山の日陰に入ってしまい少し露天風呂は日影になってしまいましたが、雪を見て風呂に入れたのは良かったと感じました。||||お食事は、本館の食事処で夕食・朝食共戴きました。大変に美味しく戴きました。会席料理ですとボリュームがいつも足らず不満足感がしますが、ここは私には適量でした。１人の方が配膳をしていたためか、出される料理に少し時間が掛かったように感じました。夕食は２時間ほど掛かってしまいました。||||全体的に良い宿だと感じました。また、是非宿泊したい...
