Shiofuki Camping Ground — Hotel in Ito

A very nice place to pitch a tent if you don’t need a lot. It is camping on private land directly at the sea with stunning views. Very calm and beautiful. You need to make a reservation in advance and call the lovely elderly man. A Japanese friend called for us and we paid at his shop (see address below) It is 1000yen per tent. there are no facilities at the place but there are public toilets and potable water very close by. Keep this place tidy and clean and don’t stay here without paying . A lot of places here at the coast don’t except “gaijins” at all. The owner seem to check regularly and trespassing in Japan can lead to incredible high fines.

立地は最高。景勝地(汐吹岩)に隣接。海と山が同時に楽しめて、伊東や熱海、湯河原の街並みや夜景が見えます。 天気が良ければ、隣接する汐吹公園山頂展望台より富士山の上部が見えます。

熱海方面からだと国道の片側2車線から1車線に減る所の側道に入り左側(汐吹公園)なので解り易いです。 伊東市街地に近接しており、ドンキやアオキ(地元スーパー)から10分前後で行けるのは、相当ポイント高いです。

トイレや駐車場迄の坂の登り降りが難で有り、設備が水場のみで照明や電源設備が無く、管理者が常駐していない、薪の販売や用具の貸し出し等が行われて無く、実質用地だけの提供なので、自分で全てを行なうキャンプ中級者以上向けの施設です。

実際デイキャンプで11月平日利用した際、私以外のソロキャンパー2組は、ベテランと思われる完璧な装備をされた方で、連泊するそうです。

感染症対策でサイト利用数を3組程度に制限していて、週末を中心に予約が入っているそうで、空いていても当日管理者の電話が繋がらない場合も有るので、事前連絡は必須です。

傾斜地が目前まで迫り、海抜がそれ程高く無いので、悪天候時は崖崩れ&高波の懸念が有ります。 国道から繋がる道路の真下なので車の走行音はそれなりにします。 市街地に近いので、日によっては珍走団が来るかもです。

敷地内には朽ちた建物に落書きがされていて、最初は嫌な気分がしました(これが無ければ文句無しに星五つなのですが...)が、立地利便性が勝り、時間事の景色変化に癒され...
