Since we arrived late (8pm, because we travelled from Hong Kong to Tokyo and changed to N'EX, then JR and taxi; yes, I know it's a long way), it's dark everywhere and it's very quiet because the hotel is located farther away from the JR station and the shopping outlet. But this is the reason I picked this hotel. And, it proves me right.||||Don't miss their breakfast buffet. It has a good mix of everything. The restaurant was almost empty, so it was quiet and the staff had plenty of time to take care of us. The shuttle from Karuizawa Mall was convenient, and appreciated because we were staying at The Karuizawa Prince close to the Shinkansen station. After the meal, we took an enjoyable walk on a paved path through the woods, with a side trip up a dirt path to the Wishing Point. Along the way we heard crickets (or semi) and nightingales. The lobby was pleasant and comfortable waiting for...
