& Koshikano Hot Spring — Hotel in Kirishima

The property didn't reply to my request for clarification on how to get there. -Extremely small room. No windows. The roof window was obfuscated. -Extremely noisy room. Sound-proofing is extremely poor : from my room, I could distinctly hear the never-ending music from the hallway, and voices from other room. Terribly loud ventilation fans. -Horribly uncomfortable bed. Unless you like irregularly oversoft beds... -No desk to speak of. Two hangers, that's it.

This place is designed for a one-night stay. Same default dinner every night. With two other choices for guests staying more than one night. No cook : you'll get pre-cut meat and vegetables that you will cook on a hot plate (if you stay one night), or in boiling water (if you stay longer. Not sure what the third choice is). The appetizer and dessert are the same every night. While the place is surrounded with beautiful mountains, the premises themselves are ugly. I mentioned the absence of windows in the room. There are no windows in the cafeteria either. There is a courtyard, but it seems it was designed to make it impossible to enjoy the view. It all felt weirdly sadistic. The place is very isolated, and the courtyard is the only shared space where one might feel comfortable spending some time. The next convenience store is a 40-minutes walk away. Not an unpleasant walk, by the way.

The place was under construction work (not mentioned anywhere, I believe?). So the public bath was not available. And the courtyard was a mess. By the looks of it, work won't be over anytime soon, and the place won't get any better. There is hardly a tree on the premises. It's only concrete and parking lots and dust, and buildings with partially or totally obfuscated windows. A truly ugly place. I believe the Google Maps satellite view is worth...

One thing I like about this place is because they have private bath where you can enjoy to yourself. 2 outdoor bath, 1 sauna and 1 indoor bath in one room.

The bed not so spacious but no problem for us. For me it is worth my money and time to come here from far.

Not forgotten my thanks to (I think is the owner.. and the driver ) who offer a ride as I don't have transport to go back to train station. Really appreciated that.

Definitely will come back to try the...

昨年、ご利用させて頂きました。

グランピング自体が初めてで楽しみにしておりましたが、結果から先に言わせてもらいますと、一庶民の戯言で、大変失礼かと思いますが、過去最低な旅行として1日を過ごさせて頂きました。 よっぽど、ビジネスホテルに泊まった方がいい待遇を味わえたのではないかと思うほど最低でした。(ビジネスホテルの方、申し訳ございません。)

1点目 サウナや食事の仕方を携帯のQRコードから動画を取り込んで、時間をかけてする事。 →一見、今時で楽しそうな気もするのですが、この金額をお支払いして、このサービスはないのではないかと思うのが、個人としての感想です。高級にチェックをしましたのは、こう言う理由となります。このサービスでこの金額とるの？という感想です。 2点目 当日は、雨でしたので、室内でお食事をとらせて頂きましたが、食事をするなり室内中煙だらけ、たまらず従業員の方に改善を求めましたが、従業員の方が言ったセリフ「部屋にあるサーキュレーターをお持ちして、外に向ければ良いのではないですか？」との事。。。 そういう問題では、ないでしょう！ 根本的に間違っているでしょ！！そういう問題ではない。 私は、換気扇につけられていたフィルターが油で根詰まりしていたので、それが原因かと思ったので、従業員の方に断って、自ら外させて頂きました。(何故、わざわざ客である私が手を汚して外さないといけないのかわかりませんが。。。) 案の定、煙が排出されていき、ようやく食事のできるレベルまで待っていけました。 その頃には、元々火にかけていた食事は真っ黒、煙で子供は目が痛いと涙を流している。風呂に入ったあとだというのに、服は煙で臭くなっている。 何ですか、これ。 かと言って、従業員は、謝罪はするも、その場しのぎという感じでした。

翌日、私自身、クレーム言うのは苦手な性格なのですが、お会計時、今後の為と思い、管理者の方とお話をしたいと、従業員の方にお伝えしましたが、不在との事でした。 他のお客様もいましたので、大げさにはしたくなかったので、このような事があったとお伝え下さいとお伝えしましたが、お聞きしましたでしょうか？(多分、報告は無かったでしょうけど。)

子供に喜んでもらう為の旅行であったのに、そうはならず。今回は、妻が選定したプランだっただけに、この宿を選んで責任を感じてるわ、大したお金を払ってないかもしれませんが、大変残念でした。

ですが、口コミを見ていると、評価の高い意見もあります。(実際、妻も評価を参考にして、貴宿選んだのですが)こういのを見てると、人を見て対応されているのかなとも思ってしまいます。

確かにハード面は、大変良いかとは、思います。しかし、ソフト面はズタボロです。あまりにも偏りすぎているのではないかというのが、個人的な感想でした。

グランピングというものに対しても、非常に悪い印象を受けてしまいました。

こしかの温泉さんには、もう行かないと思う気持ちだけではなく、もうグランピングもまっぴらだという感情が植え付けられました。

もうほんとに酷すぎました。
