Kyukamura Urabandai Camping Ground — Hotel in Kitashiobara

I went during the 2010 Winter Olympics and became obsessed with trying cross-country skiing, which is a bit of a challenge in Japan because it's not too popular. Qkamura had a cross-country course and it was completely empty when I went. You can rent the skis, outfit and other items at a very reasonable price (I rented everything and I think I paid just a few thousand yen). The weather was great; the snow was great; and not another person on the course. Peaceful and quiet. The course itself, I thought, was pretty good (especially if you're a beginner like me). It was sad in a way because it seemed so under-utilised. But that was to my benefit. Glad I went and...

The positives are the showers are new, very clean and within an air cooled building. Ice creams are sold on site, great for kids in the summer. The river is a nice area for kids to play and generally the location is excellent for surrounding attractions.

Negatives: During summer I feel more maintenance on grass/weed length could be done. Keep it shorter. Access to toilets could be clearer. I had to either walk on a muddy path or climb over broken wood palettes deep in weeds. River isn’t easy to play in as lots of boulders and rocks. I’m sure it’s possible to clean up to allow kids to play...

初めて利用しましたが、トイレ炊事場とても綺麗に管理されていました！ 本館以外にも近くに温泉が何箇所かあるのでその点も便利だと思います。

区画サイトで予約しましたが、芝が短く区画がわかりにくいですと説明ありました（よく見ればわかりました） 区画がわかりにくいせいか、他の方がトイレや炊事場に行く際に私の区画内に何度も何度も侵入してくるのが気になりました…しかもテントの中ジロジロ見てくるし…あのような下品なおばさんにならないよう私も気をつけたいと思います… また日付が変わる時間にも関わらずギラギラとテント周りの灯りを焚いてる人。近くの人は眩しくて寝れません… そして寝静まった頃に車のエンジンをかける音、一回だけではなく何度も何度も何度も何度も。何してるの？そして突然のクラクション（泣） そして朝5時から激しく薪割りをする音。まだ寝てる人も多いだろうに… 泡だらけの炊事場、次使う人のこと考えてる…？

このキャンプ場にはチェックインの際に渡される用紙に注意書きはありますが、決められたルールがあるわけではありません。 ルールがないからと言って何をしてもいい訳ではないです。他人がいるキャンプ場を利用するなら周りの方に配慮するのもキャンプの一つだと思います。 周りを気にせず自由にやりたきゃ貸切にするなり、誰もいない場所見つけてやって欲しいです。 キャンプ場自体はすごく良かったのですが、今回は過ごしやすいキャンプで...
