Kinosato Yamanoyu — Hotel in Kokonoe

Great friendly welcoming staff and they even had a Korean speaking staff helping us out, it was a great experience!!!

Try to let them know the approx time of arrival. The staff will greet you from the entrance and help you find your room (which is also amazing and traditional Japanese like). Watch out for your name written on the blackboard outside the entrance. We enjoyed going into onsen twice a day. Decently sized and has many natural looking structures resembling a cave. Watch out for the switch at 7:30 pm. Female and male onsen changes daily.

Different breakfast for two days we were staying. We did not get to have dinner so I cannot comment on that. Supposedly there are fireflies at night time but I did not see them at all. Overall I would highly recommend this place and want to thank all of the staff for their wonderful...

Off the beaten path -- a great location to experience rural Japan. The hotel itself is an older building, but very clean, and the rooms are equipped with Wifi, comfortable futon beds and refrigerator.
