This is more like a hotel with hot spring rather than a ryokan. We stayed here on a weekday during an off season period so the place was pretty much deserted and we almost had the hotel to ourselves. The baths, both indoor and outdoor, were great and it was fantastic to take a bath on my own in a big bathtub. The food was very good. They serve Japanese breakfast but you can also have bread and coffee. What is great about this place is they provide a lift to stations, Kojima and Kurashiki. We had quite a bit of time at the Kojima station and so we decided to catch a train to the other side of Seto Ohashi and come back, using our Kansai Wide Pass. You get a great view from the train. Next day, we got a lift to the Kurashiki station. This made it possible for us to visit 'Bikan' area in Kurashiki before moving onto Himeji to look at the castle.
