What a wonderful place to rest after a difficult climb up Mt Tsurugi. The dinner was delicious especially the fried fish and soba noodles. The staff were very kind and cheerful. The accommodation is basic but it is very remote so it is impressive that it is even available!
There is no WIFI but sometimes you can get phone and internet signal through your mobile phone, which was very surprising. Keep in mind that resources are limited and they are off the grid, so don’t expect a hot shower and usual amenities. They do have flushing toilets tho and offer you to rinse off with 5 bowls of hot water. If you need luxuries and don’t like to “rough it” a little bit then this is not the place for you. It is at the top of the mountain so be prepared for cold nights, even in your room.
