【ワンちゃんと最高の思い出作り】 We celebrated our dog Bamse’s 3rd birthday with a stay at Momonoki Onsen Sanwasou, and it turned into a lovely memory we’ll always cherish. Although the building itself is quite plain compared to more rustic ryokans I usually prefer, the cleanliness, warmth, and dog-friendly spirit made it truly special.

Our spacious room featured a private dog run and onsen bath—luxuries that made both humans and dogs feel pampered. Bamse quickly picked a favorite ball from the generous selection provided, and spent hours joyfully running around. The private onsen was a pure delight to soak in, especially after a day of play, though Bamse herself wasn't convinced by the hot water!

Dinner was a standout experience: beautifully crafted using unique local ingredients, every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. It was clear that the staff genuinely love dogs, making it easy to trust them with our shy Bamse. Celebrating her birthday with a small cake was a heartwarming touch.

After a peaceful night, we enjoyed a healthy Japanese breakfast, sipping coffee while Bamse had one last run in the dog park. A truly family-friendly, dog-loving ryokan—perfect for those looking to celebrate small joys with their furry companions.

Excellent experience. The hotel is well looked after and the onsen is fed with pure spring water. The food is delicious and the staff takes care of all the guests, including the dogs.

【一人宿泊客を受付なくなってしまった宿】

昨年(2018.4)、【鰐塚(わにづか)の桜】の見頃の春に一人宿泊をしました。その頃は秘境の秘湯という感じで「知る人ぞ知る湯宿」のイメージがあり、当時は私の他に数組の一人宿泊客がいたのを覚えています。その頃の宿泊料金は13,500円と良心的。

源泉かけ流し100%の温泉、貸切風呂は+2,000円で風呂あがりにラムネのサービス、地産地消の料理、掃除行き届いた室内と部屋、丁寧な接客で一人宿泊客にも温かく最後まで接して頂いたのを覚えています。

そのせいか、人は良かった思い出を誰かに話したり伝えたりしたがります。

口コミと高評判を呼んで【知る人ぞ知る湯宿】ではなくなりました。

ちなみにマイカー以外の方はバス終点からタクシーで宿まで向かいますが面倒な方は甲府駅→桃の木温泉へ行く場合、片道約40分で8,000円弱タクシー代の負担がかかります。

宿に直接問い合わせると皮肉にも…

2018.9.21 「お一人旅での受付はしておりません。2人以上からのプラン提供をさせて頂いております。またネットでも1人旅の受付はしておりませんが日にちに空きがある場合は電話"のみ"で対応させて頂きます」

と冷遇な対応…理由を尋ねたところ

2018.9.22 「当館は客室が少ない為、繁忙期の一人宿泊は受付ておりません」

おいおい…昨年春の繁忙期は普通に泊まれたのに。繁忙期じゃなくてもネット予約には今年から一人宿泊客は受けいれていない日も多くありました。

一人宿泊客と複数宿泊客との間に"温度差"が表れてしまいました。そうなると宿として非常に残念に思います。

一部屋1人宿泊するより一部屋2人以上宿泊する方が宿側としては利益があるのが理解出来ますが、1人宿泊を【受けていない】と聞いた時に...
