Nemoto Marine Camping Ground — Hotel in Minamiboso

This was my first beach camping experience, so take my review with a grain of salt.

Went there for the GreenRoom Camp festival.

Quite far from civilization (i.e. convenice stores), so bring your provisions when ye come, as it will be difficult to resupply without a car.

No parking space nearby the camping ground, so want it or not, you will have to pay the high parking fee, which is completely ridiculous, given the fact that the place is in middle on nowhere. To make it even worse, the charged me car parking fee to park my motorcycle on the precincts.

While the water is very clean, it's a rocky area. Hence, it's more like a surfing place. If you decide to go for a swim, pay attention to your surroundings, so the waves don't push you into some rocks.

Not much shelter to calm the wind, so it's like having your skin continously sandblasted and sand will get everywhere.

Usually, beach camping places have sections covered in grass, to prevent the sand being blown into your belongings. However, this place's grass covered patch is not large enough to host a festival.

I particularly liked the sink and shower area, as there is space for everybody and the water pressure is high.

Open again this summer of 2022, after two years closed due to COVID-19. Camping is not free during the season from late July to late August. Avoid the mid-August Obon holidays when the beach reaches full capacity and cars are lined up for as far as...

なんと言ってもどこよりも安いフリーサイト。 ここ何十年はテントを張る場所も無く場所取りに苦労しましたが最近はブーム？が去り？空いています。行けば張れます。 40年以上は通ってますがこんなのは初めてです。毎回サイト地形も変わり入り口付近は盛砂で高い位置がサイトとなっており奥の方には新しくバーベキュー広場と言うエリアが出来ていました。 昔からあったブロック積みのトイレは取り壊され少し昔に出来た入り口の比較新しいトイレのみとなりました。 シャワーは新設され新しくなっています。100円入れると温かいシャワーもあります。シャワーの後ろに更衣室BOXも新しく出来ています。 キャンプ場の入り口手前にある源氏と入う昔からある商店はやっていません。ですが民宿だった所は根本ライフセーバーの宿泊所？のようです。 最近の時代は何泊もキャンプする人は少ないと感じました。 見ていると一泊２日、3日が多い感じです。 私達は五泊以上ゆっくりしています。最近は台風が近づくと期間中でも閉鎖になります。 皆さまペグのかわりに土嚢で固定して居る人が多いですが風や台風では持ち堪えません。入り口付近は砂地ですので最低60cm以上のペグが必要です。ペグは役に立たないと言う人もいますが、ペグの代わりに建設用の杭でしたら安くて長いです。 犬の同伴は小型犬は暑くてきついです。犬に対する知識が無いと死にます。気温が高い日砂地が暑いので犬が歩くとキャンキャン言います。 真ん中の海、左の岩場の海、右の少し小さなプライベート感ある海があります。小さな子供も楽しめる海です。 10分から30分も足を伸ばせば付近に買い物出来る所もたくさんあります。セブンイ...
