北軽井沢Golden Forest Hotel — Hotel in Naganohara

This is simply a very good hotel. The rooms are spotless (really clean), spacious, and comfortable. There’s an onsen with an outdoor bath, a dry sauna, plus dinner and breakfast included—all at a very reasonable price. The staff are kind, helpful, and provide quick service. Honestly, nothing to complain about. The cost performance is hard to beat.

The location is about a 20-minute drive from Karuizawa town. It’s very quiet, surrounded by nature. We stayed in mid-August to escape the Tokyo heat, and it was perfect. The room has AC, but we barely needed it. Evenings were a refreshing 18–19°C.

If you are looking for something special like a fancy hotel, this is not it, but if all you need is a good quality stay - this one hits all the right notes. Will come here again....

5月にこちらを予約しましたが体調を崩しキャンセル。今回リベンジで予約が取れお世話になりました。季節は2ヶ月ほどずれましたが猛暑の中、北軽井沢の避暑地はとても涼しくて気持ちが良く得をした気分になりました。 フロントのスタッフさんの物腰の柔らかい対応が心地良かったです。 レストランの女性のスタッフさんの心遣いが とても素晴らしかったです。ホテルでこんなに気持ち良く楽しい食事をさせて頂いた事は初めてです。とても丁寧で親切で最高の対応をして頂きました。また、地元のお話しを聞かせて頂いたり、色んな話しができてとても楽しかったです。こういう時間が旅先での醍醐味ですね。感謝です。 夕食はステーキのコース料理。ステーキは勿論どのお料理もとても美味しかったです。お野菜が新鮮で甘みがありシャキシャキで美味しくていっぱい頂きました。朝食でも温かな一皿二皿を配膳して頂き、オムレツ、ウインナー、ベーコン、ポテト他、盛り沢山。ビュッフェではパン、お野菜、ヨーグルト、フルーツ他、どれも美味しくて欲張って食べ過ぎちゃいました。お風呂もキレイにお掃除され露天風呂、サウナもあり大満足。お部屋は広くてゆったり過ごせました。特別な豪華さはありませんがシンプルで落ち着く素敵なホテルでした。スタッフの皆さんとても感じの良い方で気持ち良く宿泊させて頂きました。 違う季節にまたこちらに宿泊させて頂きたいと思います。...
