First thing you notice is that the campsite is under a flight path, and within earshot of a JR train line. Access to the campsite is fairly well signposted, up some incredibly steep hills so be wary if, like me, you were arriving by bicycle. ||The area itself is dominated by a huge concrete dam, and all the rivers are concreted. There are no paths around the park, you have to walk along the concreted roads in order to get around. The staff at the campsite are incredibly, incredibly nice and will help you with whatever you need; be advised they are Japanese-speaking only. ||The showers are available in the evening after 5pm - you have to pay an extra charge to use them. Apart from the showers, there is a shop selling footballs and other equipment (some for hire), various vending machines but nothing in the way of food. ||BBQ facilities are very good; coal is available for purchase. ||Problem is that the whole place is so artificial, concreted, and they have bells and announcements on a PA system around the entire park every couple of hours.
