湯元ホテル山水 美肌の湯 — Hotel in Ozora

I booked this hotel because it was close to Memanbetsu airport and I thought that the room price (and "inclusive charge"of 8,800 yen, including breakfast and dinner), provided to me by email by the hotel manager, was reasonable. When my husband and I arrived to find a very old and dated hotel, and to be given a very basic and sparsely furnished room, we reconciled and accepted it because of the "inclusive charge" we thought we were paying. However, upon check-out, we were shocked to find out that the price quoted by the manager, and not stated properly in his email, was not an "inclusive charge"of 8,800 yen, but actually 8,800 yen per person (ie, 17,600 yen total)! It ended up being the most expensive and poorest value accommodation on our 10 day trip around Hokkaido. The hotel manager refused to give us the "inclusive charge" he quoted, explaining that "in our custom, the price quoted is for one person". I have traveled to Japan many times and fully understand the per person pricing. However, this has always been stated by hotels in quotes. If I had known the full price, I would not have booked this hotel - it is most definitely not...

This onsen is the 2nd best I visited!! They have 3 indoor pools, one of them with water massage, a sauna and a cold pool and 2 outdoor pools. I was in as a day trip onsen guest on a day when we bathed with grapefruits, the smell and its effect on the mind and skin were amazing 😍. I could enjoy the snowfall outside, it was a beautiful view as the snowflakes landed on top of the grapefruits. The staff is very smiley and easy going, they have draft beer and softice, both tasty! Ticket is 500 yen. No WiFi or rinse in products...

6月の終わりに道東旅行の初日に宿泊させていただきました。 女満別空港からタクシーで￥2,000くらいの場所で網走湖まで徒歩1分くらいです。 羽田から女満別空港に18時くらいに到着して、素泊まりだったため、空港内にある立ち食い寿司を食べてからタクシー乗り場に行くと1台も客待ちのタクシーが無く、30分近く待っても全く来る気配がない。事前に調べておいたタクシー会社に電話するが、2回かけても繋がらない。かなり焦りはじめたが、3回目でやっと出てくれて、何とか1台回してもらってホテルにたどり着きました。 翌朝、空港近くでレンタカーを借りることになっていたので、朝からタクシーで移動の予定を移動中にタクシー運転手の方に伝えると、既に予約で一杯かも知れないとのこと。 ホテルについて直ぐに翌朝のタクシーをフロントでお願いするとと、ホテルでタクシーの手配は行っていないため、自分で電話してくださいと言ってタクシー会社の名刺を渡された。 タクシー会社の営業時間があと5分で終わるので直ぐに電話した方が良いということで、部屋について直ぐに電話してみるが、繋がらない。既に営業終了かと諦めかけたその時にやっと繋がってくれて、翌朝の希望の時間を伝えると若干早めの時間でしたが、奇跡的に予約が取れました。 ここでやっと安心して美肌の湯に向かいました。 温泉は日帰り温泉施設となっていて、宿泊客は無料で利用することが出来ます。 お湯はつるつるとまでは行きませんが、肌にいい感じです。 恐らく洗い場の蛇口からも温泉が出ていると思われるため、洗髪すると髪がキュッキュする感じになります。 泊まった部屋は和室で8畳くらいの広さで、布団は自分で敷くように説明書きがありました。 北海道とはいえ6月下旬ともなるとかなり暑く、部屋の空調（温度調節のようなものは無く風量調節のみ）は冷房が効いていないと思われ、夜はかなり暑かったです。布団も普通の掛布団だけなので、薄手のタオルケットのようなものが欲しかったです。 窓を開けると涼しく感じましたが、網戸が無いので虫が入るため 開けっ放しで寝るわけには行きませんでした。 かなり寝不足でしたが、翌朝は時間通りにタクシーが来て...
