Mitsuse base camp — Hotel in Saga

I made a reservation on April 3, 2024, but unfortunately, I realized that it was going to be a rainy day after checking the local weather forecast a week prior to my reservation. Concerned about the heavy rain, I decided to email Mise Base camp and inquire if I could receive a free refund due to the poor weather conditions. However, I received a response stating that a free refund was not possible, so I had no choice but to stick to my original plan.

On the day of my reservation, it was indeed pouring heavily as I made my way to Mise Base camp. However, when I arrived at around 6 pm, I discovered that the camp was closed. Assuming I had gone to the wrong location since it was getting dark, I consulted Google Maps and spent about 40 minutes navigating up and down the hill, searching for the camp. Eventually, I decided to call Agoda for assistance. After several phone calls, I was informed that Mise Base camp had closed around 7:20 pm. It turned out that I was at the correct location, but the camp had closed without notifying me.

Realizing that I needed immediate shelter, I attempted to rent accommodation nearby. Unfortunately, the closest available option was 35 minutes away. Despite the inconvenience, I was relieved to have found shelter and settled before 10.30 pm that night.

I assumed that 6 pm would be a standard check-in time. However, in this case, I was never informed about the designated check-in time by Mise Base camp. I find it puzzling that Mise Base camp was able to reach me regarding the refusal of a free refund, but did not send an email regarding the check-in time or the closure of the campsite. This lack of information further added to the confusion and inconvenience I experienced upon arrival.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I would appreciate an explanation from your company or staff regarding the lack of communication and closure...

新婚旅行でグランピングを利用しました。 まずスタッフさんが全員丁寧で物腰柔らかく､初めてのグランピングだったのですが､とっっっても楽しむことができました！！ 私たちの宿泊したところは､管理棟からドームテントまで歩いていける距離でしたが､朝食やチェックアウトの時まで､スタッフさんがゴルフカートでお迎えに来てくださいました。(人生初ゴルフカートだったので大人の私達も楽しかったです！) 夕食はBBQを選択したのですが､食器や食料の準備､後片付けまでしてくださったので､とても有難かったです。 それから､何より嬉しかったのは､平日に宿泊したので他にグランピング利用のお客さんが居なかったのですが､全ての棟のウッドデッキの灯りを付けてくださって､すごく雰囲気の良い空間でグランピングを楽しむことができました(涙)

宿泊したドームテントはペット可のお部屋で､私たち夫婦は人間2人で利用したのですが､動物特有の匂いは一切無く､清掃も丁寧にしていらっしゃるんだな～と感じました。 お手洗いやシャワールームもすごく綺麗です。 それから､空調の効きの良さにも感動しました笑 2月で朝には雪が降っていたのですが､それでも寒い思いをすることなく､快適に過ごせました。 お布団もふっかふかで夫婦2人で目覚ましに気づかないほど爆睡しました。

BBQの内容も､お肉､お魚､お野菜､シチュー､パン､デザート...

子ども3人と宿泊。

お菓子とソフトドリンクは持ち込み可とのことだったので、子どもたち用に多めに持ち込みました。

夕食はBBQを選択。コース料理も気になりましたが、私が沢山食べるので……。

スタッフの方にコースの内容も伺ったところ、かなり美味しそうでした。リピートの際はコースを選んでみます。

結論から言うと、お菓子は不要でした。BBQは肉・肉・肉のオンパレード。かなりボリュームがあり、すぐにお腹いっぱいになりました。

BBQとは言っても、ある程度厨房で調理してくださったものを温めるといった感じ。サラダやデザートもついているので、ほぼコース料理です。

ディナーはどちらを選んでもその時仕入れている食材によって内容が変わるそうで、今回はポテトサラダが出てきました。今まで食べたことのないほどに美味しかったです。デザートのイチゴも子どもたちが大変喜んでいました。

食事の後は管理棟でボードゲームをして遊びました。全て初めて見るゲームでしたが、スタッフの方が丁寧にルール説明をしてくれたので、小学生の子どももすぐに理解し楽しめました。

事前に聞いていたとおり、共用のシャワーとトイレはかなり綺麗です。部屋も広々としていて快適でした。この時期は寒さが心配でしたが、上等なエアコンが設置されていて、全く問題ありませんでした。

スタッフの方々は大変親切で、薪割り体験やキャッチボールをして子どもたちの遊び相手になってくれました。これが1番嬉しかったです。

不満点は特にありませんでしたが、強いて言うなら、トイレの中にバッグや上着をかけられるフックが欲しいと思いました。
