Narita Airport Hostel is located in nice rural surroundings, even it is only 12 min car-drive from the airport entrance. The building itself is somewhat modest. But it is clean and they have wonderful futon beds and bedding. They also have a unique pick-up and delivery-service from/to the airport, I recommend to make an agreement by e-mail before you arrive. Only a small breakfast is served at the Hostel. I suggest to bring with you food from one of the nice grocery-stores on the route from the airport. Read moreThe Hostel is quite close to the airport, so much so that it only took 15-20 minutes to get there. The saving grace of this was that he picked you up and dropped you off at the airport. His directions to the different pickup points were a little confusing and I didn't figure out where he wanted us to go until after he was on our way to pick us up. Needless to say I was embarrassed but he seemed quite distant that day and the following morning. His English was good, the hostel had everything you needed, and sleeping conditions were fairly normal for a Japanese...
Read moreThis hostel has two dormatories. The beds are futon beds (mattresses on the floor). They are upstairs. Downstairs there is a common room with kitchen and TV, and a bathroom with shower and bathtube. There are toilets in both floors. The host is helpful, and happy to tell you about Japan and answer all of your questions. He speaks English. There is a pick-up and delivery-service to the Narita International Airport. You must order the pick-up in advance. Or you can take the bus. The stop is 2 minutes from the hostel. The area surrounding the hostel is good for walking, or you can (for free) borrow a bicykle. If you want to experience Japan outside the big cities, this is a good place. The airport is closed at night, so it is...
