Izumiko Koen Camping Ground — Hotel in Shimosuwa

Very quiet experience with nature. It is a Free Campsite but need to reserve online 7 days in advances at min (easy even for foreigners, just use translate function of your browser). Starry night on a clear sky, very close to a nice small lake. Temperature during beginning of August is perfect, no need for thick warm clothes. It is not for people who wants to play music or party because it’s so quiet. Toilet & kitchen sink/ BBQ pits are close by. You can drive in & out at anytime, parking is just 150m away. You can enjoy Tateishi Park too which is 15mins...

It's a free camping, quite and wide. You really can feel the silence. The parking is bit far from camping area, you need to approach the entrance for unpacking your things. Barbecue area is available...

友人たちとキャンプに行きました。 自治体が所有する無料キャンプ場です。

利用するには事前の申し込みが必要なんですが、やや手間があります。まぁ無料なんだから文句を言っちゃいけねぇ。

サイトは駐車場と隣接してませんので、サイトに横付けして荷物を下ろしてから駐車場に向かうと良いです。キャンプのワゴンがあると便利ですが大きな階段もあるので荷物少なめで行くのが良いと思います。

サイトは結構デコボコなので良い場所をいかに早く取れるかが勝負です。 とは言え、私たちが昼過ぎに着いた時は2組いましたがいずれも夕方には帰っていきましたので前日泊まった人だったかもしれません。結局その日は私たち以外誰も居ませんでした。

秋手前に行ったので落ち葉がすごかったです。箒があると良いと思います。

トイレは綺麗です。無料なのに凄いありがたいです。

街灯はトイレ以外全くありません。他の利用者もいないので本当に闇でした。ライト多めに持っていくと良いです。

これといった不満はなく、快適に過ごせたと思います。これからもずっと使えるよう綺麗に使って欲しいサイトです。直火で焚き火したような跡がありましたがこういう輩はなんで無くならないんでしょうね。 それと自治体の方、事前の利用申請なしにサイトを使う人が居るようなので抜き打ちチェックした方が良いですよ。在日外国人コミュニティでも話題に上がっているようで、言葉が通じない層もいると思います。

最後に利用届の紙をポストに入れて帰りました...
