We are wrapping up a few days at Marissa Resort and I cannot express how excellent the experience has been. We are a group of 3 families here for a friend's birthday, so I reached out to the resort after booking with a list of requests: can we please have a cot and crib in certain rooms, can our rooms be located near each other, can we be far from the elevator (because we have napping babies), and several other requests. The team was so accommodating, pleasant, and patient with our many requests and questions.
They also were very discrete, as we added on an extra night for just the moms as a surprise to one of the girls in our group, and they were very careful to coordinate quietly to help us keep the surprise.
They also helped us schedule massages, and all 3 of us women loved our massages. The masseuse was so sweet and the massages were amazing. I feel guilty that we don't speak Japanese but the masseuse was so kind, patient, and helpful.
The rooms are massive by Japanese standards, and very comfortable, and the views from the hotel are gorgeous.
The dinner was outstanding. Make sure you schedule your dinner reservations in advance because they fill up, and for good reason! It's very worth it to include reservations for breakfast and dinner in your stay. Additionally, dinner options outside of the resort were very limited and several places looked open on Google Maps but once we arrived, they were not open.
There is also a quaint bar at the resort where the drinks are self-serve, with a nice selection of wine, beer, and sparking wine.
In all, this was an amazing place for a getaway, even with children, but it was especially fantastic for a romantic vacation with a partner or for a relaxation vacation for a group of adult friends.
Thank you for everything to everyone at...
Read moreDear Marisa employee. I will review your customer service attitude. For now, please put yourself in the opposite position. If you were to stay at Marissa as a guest, please seriously consider whether you would feel bad or never stay there again if the following happened You want a quiet time in the executive lounge, but you don't like the loud conversations between employees. Wouldn't you feel bad if, while taking a nap in your room in the evening, you woke up to employees talking loudly in the hallway? Wouldn't you notice if they didn't say so? You are being paid to do a job and you should do it professionally. I am sorry and I feel bad about it, so I posted it. If you are not drinking or drunk, please notice their work attitude. Please be aware of each other and the employees around you. This stay was a poor impression of the entire hotel due to the inattentiveness of...
Read moreOur 3rd visit, first since the new owners and rebrand. Rooms are fresh, beds are excellent, lovely big bathrooms. The all inclusive services are delightful, mini pizza and waffles, sparkling wine on tap for welcome drinks and snacks, and the lagoon side cocktails were fancy and refreshing, non-alcoholic version for the teenager. We stayed 2 nights, did the BBQ and French course, both were wonderful, fancy with drinks and attentive staff. Stargazing was also a highlight! Enjoyed the indoor pool, SUP on the very flat sea, and onsen baths with ices and a beverage after....
