In November 2023, we stayed here. The campground was so fantastic we extended our stay - even commuting to Kyoto for a day. We were right on Lake Biwa, watching the sunrise and sunset over the water - observing the fishermen - was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had overseas. Peaceful.

Since I am Latino, one staff said us "Oh, since you people like loud music, dont make noice. Also your voice is loud, so please dont make noice." It has tons of amenities and things to do including: fishing, making pizza, lighting fireworks, etc. They sell firewood and you can rent just about anything you need at a reasonable price.
