A great place to do some camping during off peak season. It comes with an amazing lake view, and basic amenities like a shared washing area and toilets. One thing to highlight is that the toilets are not your usual Japanese toilet. It is literally a hole in the ground. Be forewarned that the smell may be quite unbearable if you are not accustomed to using such toilets. Another pointer is that there are no showers here. Be prepared to drive to the nearest onsen (abt 30mins) if you want a nice hot shower!

Great little camp ground on the shore of Lake Biwa. Reservations are recommended. Friendly staff. Automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles are okay. No showers. Toilets are clean. Facilities for washing dishes and separating trash. You must bring everything you need for camping. There are not any camping equipment rentals available. No camping supplies available for sale.

2021.10.02-03 16号台風の進路を気にしながらの準備でしたが、琵琶湖エリアにとっては影響のないコースにそれて離れていき、一安心で向かいました。泊まりのチェックイン定時(12:00)より少し早めに着きましたが、そのままアーリー(500円/1名)払って入れてもらいました。キャンプ場としても緊急事態宣言解除後再開2日目の営業ということで、「予約100組も、コンパクトな設営面積で…」と注意を促されました。配慮して場所を使わせていただきましたが、さすが広いキャンプ場です。人気のゾーンは団地よろしく「密」状態でしたが不人気ゾーンではゆったりと静かにくつろぐことができました。それにしても、設営後14時台から北から東よりのかなりの強風が吹き始めた為、幕内での調理やむ無しか…と心配しましたが、18時頃に収まり、微風となり、何とかテントのキャノピーを再開して炭火グリルを楽しめました。お近くのビラデスト今津さんといい(500m以上の山の上)、晴れた日の午後から夜の始めにかけて吹く強風は要注意です。BBQや焚火など計画を大きく左右される可能性があります。保険で別プランを用意しておくといいかも… ここはチェックアウトに余裕があり(15時まで)助かります。お昼をゆっくりいただいて、露でぬれた装備を乾かし、14:30頃に撤収できました。帰るとき、受付の方から「また来てね！」もちろんです。絶対来ます。 (^_^)/~ 2020.0905-06 ソロキャンプDAY（ソロキャンパーのみ受付のイベント日）に夫婦二人でそれぞれ「ソリスト」として参加、Tent-MarkのサーカスTCとパンダTCで今時の「ソーシャルディスタン」でキャンプ楽しんできました。初日は炎天下の設営で熱中症寸前、夜中に風が荒れだして未明に結構な雨、翌朝は台風余波回避で早々に撤収。他のソリストたちも早め撤収ですでにまばらに… それでも、やはりとってもいい場所。素晴らしいレイクビュー。今回はソリストたちばっかりでマナーは最高でした。またやってほしいですね。 (もっと前) 目の前の琵琶湖の眺望、素晴らしい園内の風景、おトイレはキャンプ慣れた方向きです。

We went for a day camp, since it was a rainy day couldn't see the full beauty of the lake. However, the misty mountains add another beauty. We got to stay close to the lake enjoying the sound of waves, misty mountains and hot bbq. The site as toilets, washing space, open shower area.
