The place has been renamed Tateyama Resort Hotel. We stayed one night during the weekday, which included breakfast only for the price of 5400y/person. You get what you pay for.|The place is old, but the rooms are kept clean. The "onsen" was a bit of a disappointment, because it was small and too hot for my son to get in. Since it was a weekday the place was empty. |Breakfast was a mixture of Japanese style and western style food. We were very full. They had a swimming pool which was not open due to the season. This place would be good to travel with kids in the summer because it's close to the beach. Right now it looks more like a stay over place for recreational divers using the local dive shops. |The guy checking us in stank of cigarettes, but the establishment is a non smoking hotel with designated smoking areas. Restaurant staff were friendly. |There is very little to do in the area so it's best to come by car and visit other places...

Read moreI came here in November 2019. ||I do understand that there was a big storm a couple of month ago and that it might have caused severe damage to the hotel. But in that case the high rate was not justified. There were no windows in the floors and it was wet everywhere, the wind was blowhing through the hallways and the entire building was just run down. The staff was also kind of awkward... but this might have been because as a gayjin your ususally not treated "normally" in Japan.||Anyhow, i chose the hotel because it was close to the dive location i wanted to see. But the hotel itself was rather not so good. Also the food was not really recommendable. If your not into (fishy tasting) fish, then its a no-go for you!||||But to be fair the rooms were big.
