Yūhi Kaigan Shōkaku — Hotel in Tateyama

We spent one night at the Yuhi Kaigan. The location is right on the shore, with most (all?) rooms facing the bay. On a good day you can not only see the other side of the bay, but also Mt. Fuji. Front desk service was fine and the lobby was decent. However, maintenance/cleaning at the rest of the hotel was extremely poor. Wallpaper on the hall walls and ceiling were ripped and dirty, and I would not want to walk with bare feet on the hall carpets they were so stained. The room was reasonably clean and everything worked, but, again, stains and holes were common. There was no wi-fi and, unusual for Japan, no washlet. The common baths were pretty rundown, the walls stained, and the ceiling had many spider webs. For the price for two people, including breakfast, of around fifteen thousand yen, it was very expensive and very disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel at even a much...

when I booked for three members, i requested one no pork menu and they took my order, before we started to use the meal they did not let us know which was no pork??|the male receptioner was not polite in replying question. typical local language.|the food were very tiny and taste was light, tasteless, those seafood were not cooked in proper way. They said hot spring hotel actually were hot water, even they said hot spring at each rooms but thats hot water tube. I meant that that was less than 5 % of real hot spring water. Sorry, no more next time. I have been staying in Japan...
