We stopped in Sambommatsu for one night on our way to visit the Akame 48 waterfalls. Yukie is a lovely host who will welcome you with tea and biscuit and who will love to talk to you about Japanese culture. Although the B&B is only a 10 min walk from the train station, Yukie and her husband were so kind to us up by car, due to the rain and our heavy backpacks. The house is kept in great care and having a nice homemade breakfast sitting in the garden or in the living room while looking at the mountains is a plus. It’s really a rare place, Yukie-san opens her beautiful home to guests from all over the world to admire and embrace the wonder of Japanese countryside. I stayed here for 3 nights and it was the highlight of my trip. It’s so peaceful away from the city huddle. The room is nice and spacious, looking over the beautiful mountains. The view from the main dining/sitting space when the doors are open is incredible. Out host Yuki was very helpful and friendly.
