I try to faithfully report my experiences on trip advisor to honestly and accurately inform my fellow travelers, as I also consult trip advisor for every trip I make. But reviewing Sentoro Ureshino is delicate. I would give the building and the location a score 3, but the welcome and the personal care and attention deserve a 5 plus, so I settle on score 4.||The building is squeezed between a charming little brook, that itself is backed by small fields and farms, and the narrow road. It is a narrow concrete building with simple rooms, that are facing the nature. The house itself is not very attractive but clean and adequate. The quality of the onsen is excellent but, as one reviewer remarked, rather small. The establishment attracts groups and families as well as regular tourists.||The food is excellent and traditional, the portions large: too much for us to possibly finish.||The service was exceedingly warm and extensive : we had a free shuttle from and to the train station at quite a distance. As we were staying for two nights and as we came specifically for visiting the tea plantations at Ureshino we asked for advice. Immediately we were offered a tour in the area. The landlady is very knowledgeable in her area and showed us places we would never have found ourselves. She also introduced us to a small ikebana exhibition that by chance took place and drove us to the special tea onsen in town. After the bath the elder landlady came to pick us up.||Upon leaving we were offered a gift moreover. I felt treated like a guest in a private house instead of a business, It is impossible that people can give this amount of time and attention to all guests but I am convinced that they will try and at least treat everybody with equal warmth and hospitality. I heard a lot of laughing. Another lucky find was that there was a group of tourist staying who were doing part of the Nagasaki kaido. Unfortunately I discovered this just as the group was leaving so I could not get more precise information. But this aspect makes me hope I can return one day as part of such a hike.||We explicitly were invited to come back : we will try to honor...

Read moreThe location is a bit far from city centre without public transport access.||But the vicinity is nice, fresh air and surrounded by nature and many tea fields. If you drive a bit up hill, you will go across a dam and we are lucky to see Sakura (cherry blossom) on the way. ||It's not far from 24/7 stores which u can get food and drink.||Hospitality was good except, not surprised, staff don't speak English, and even they know you don't speak Jap,they continue to talk in Jap in a very polite way. Both breakfast and dinner were included. They offered traditional Jap cuisine and both were superb unless you don't eat seafood. Beef from the prefecture was also provided.||The hot spring is good, with both indoor and outdoor pools (jap tradition: you have to be naked)||The only downside is the windows are probably double gazing and the small river was a bit noisy at night, or it's just me being not "infused" to the nature enough....||Service: 4.5/5|Food: 4.8/5|Room:...
