Stayed a night there and did a triple share. Do note that for the third person, he or she will be sleeping on a tatami. The room was spacious, pretty and comfortable! View from the room was also perfect - facing the ocean. This was the same view from the onsen as well. Onsen facilities were clean and well equipped. I had one of the most comfortable stays there! The only down side was that the pillows were too soft/flat for me, but in view of everything else, it wasn't an issue. The hotel is on higher ground hence it is in a quieter area. Read moreI was looking for a nice onsen in Wakayama area within a close distance from Osaka. Kyukamura Kishu-kada would be a good choice if you don't want to travel further south. It's approximately 1 hr drive from the Kansai airport, very close to Wakayama city, but on a nice quiet hill overseeing the sea, with renovated rooms and hotel facilities. Food is served in restaurant (not in room) but with a seaview and both quality and quantity is pretty good.
