Absolutely loved this little piece of heaven. We had the most incredible stay with hosts, the Ogino family. Kimio, Kyoko and Komomo have created a wonderful sanctuary and showed us the best in hospitality. Kimio sent informative, helpful emails prior to arrival and was there to welcome us when we first arrived by bus from Nagano. ||The lodge is gorgeous. We’re a family of five so we booked two rooms - comfy beds and spacious. Breakfast and dinners are included in rates, and the meals are amazing. Kyoko is a wonderful chef who plates up delicious feasts with local produce night after night. Incredible. All to a great jazz playlist in a room full of vinyl, excellent coffee, local beer, great sake and whiskey.||The family exude warmth and love for their surroundings. Big smiles, genuine interest and concern for their guests. We were lucky enough to have a morning of skiing with Komomo our little local guide. A trip highlight. ||The location is amazing, a ski in/out lodge on the mountain. Good ski hire next door at the Grand Phoenix. We stayed in winter but imagine it would be so beautiful for green season, the mountains are literally at the back door and there’s so much to explore. ||Thank you so much for the memories Kimio, Kyoko and Komomo. ||Can’t...
