I book 2-night stay plan of Ryunohige via Jalan.net and it comes to the best staying experience in my Kyushu trip Nov 2015. We are delighted that we have made the wise choice of staying 2 nights as everything there is just perfect||||We stayed at Akebi. The room is large, clean, and modernly decorated. It has a terrace connecting to private onsen and living room. Thanks to the good weather that we can see lots of stars at night while soaking ourselves in the onsen. ||||The highlight there was the cuisines - the breakfasts and dinners were completely different but equally delicious in our 2-day stay. They are all beautifully presented and immediately delivered to our dinning table which we can feel the heart from the chef. ||||All staff are very helpful and nice. Everytime we walk upstairs to the dinning room we are welcome by one staff who stand by before we reach the entrance to welcome us. Everytime we arrive at the carpark before finishing parking, the staff will come out from the main entrance and greet us.||||Overall, we enjoy our stay at Ryunohige very much and would highly recommend to...

We have been to about 4 onsen trip now and this is the 5th onsen we stayed and I must say, all the previous 4 of them can't compare to this. The location can be access if you take a car, but I am sure you can arrange with them to pick you up somewhere. This is also the reason why the location was quiet and peaceful. The greenery was way too awesome. A balcony that look over the mountains, and you could even hear birds chipping and at night, the little crickets and sound of bugs makes you really feel like close to the nature. The onsen bath is a personal bath, so you can enjoy the privacy. Food is like fine dining, very meticulous cooking and we have not taste such good food in Japan so far. Breakfast was sumptuous, very good and healthy portion. Also, not to mentioned the service from the staff are top notch. They really made us felt like a VVIP. We are sure that we will come back again when we have a chance. There is nothing to pick about and if I can give 100 out of 10, I will. This...

This was by far the best Ryokan experience we had in all aspects and the price reflects it (T_T). We got the room with a view of Mt. Yufu and it was amazing to soak in the onsen while watching the sunset and sunrise. This seems to be a very small Ryokan, with maybe 10-12 isolated rooms. The kaiseki here was our favorite of the 4 ryokans we stayed at during our trip. I was introduced to hojicha gelato here... my mouth is watering thinking about it. The rooms are very spacious, with separate areas for sleeping, watching tv while drinking/eating, and watching tv being more cozy. There were two filtered water dispensers, and several AC units in different parts of the room. There was also an indoor onsen in case you wanted to use that. Our favorite hostess of our entire stay was here and I wish I had gotten her name, but she was so friendly and accommodating! There's really nothing to do outside the ryokan, and you're paying a pretty penny, so enjoy it!

A hot spring inn overlooking the majestic Mt. Yufu, the symbol of Yufuin. There are 10 rooms in total, including 5 detached detached buildings and 5 separate buildings in the forest. All rooms have a semi-open-air bath with natural hot spring water, 3 of which have an open-air bath. The view of Mt. Yufu, bathed in the morning sun and evening sun in the clear air, will soothe your soul. And above all, the warm hospitality with its attentive attention to detail will soothe your soul.
