奥湯河原 結唯 — Hotel in Yugawara

This onsen has only 5 rooms in the main building and 2 other rooms that are detached. We enjoyed the best room in the main building, which was spacious, around 150 sq meters, and with a private garden and a private hot springs. Prior to a change in ownership this onsen only catered to celebrities. ||||The service and the quality of the traditional kaiseki dinner, served in an elegant dining area(much better than in the room) are excellent. ||||I would have rated it excellent but overall but offer one suggestion for improvement. While each dish in the multi-course dinner is exquisite, the dinner has no "wow" centerpiece to climax the meal; you are waiting for that moment and it doesn't come. This resort is located in the Oku-Yugawara area surrounded by beautiful nature. You can relax calmly at this resort since there are only 5 rooms and infants and children can’t be brought into the dining room and large communal baths. When I went to the large communal baths, I could enjoy it as a private bath because no one else was there. It was a great experience soaking in the outside bath alongside the Fujiki river. This resort is good for customers who want to enjoy their own private space. We stayed in a 3 bedroom guest room which also provided a private bath. We could enjoy a luxurious time in our private onsen. I felt the onsen was effective in moisturizing. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Both dinner and breakfast were generally delicious and beautiful. However, for over 30,000 yen for 2 meals, I expect much more. I was awoken quite early in the morning due to a great deal of traffic on the road in from of this resort, but every employee welcomed us with the spirit of hospitality. Generally speaking, I recommend this resort.

奥湯河原はキッチン イトウ スタイルの側にある旅館。 同じ系列の離れ「奥湯河原　秀邑」と2018年1月にグランドオープンした離れ「紫葉（しよう）」とともに異彩を放つ存在。 離れは、他の客と接することなくお忍び旅が満喫できるので、お値段もつくりもセレブ向き。

私達が泊まったのは、和室12畳と次の間6畳に、洋間ベッドルーム（シングルベッド2台）を設えた和洋室。 和室から見える庭園の紅葉がちょうど真っ赤に染まっていた。 庭園バックに思わず自撮りをしてしまった(笑)。 春は桜、初夏は新緑と紫陽花が楽しめるらしい。 室内の檜風呂には天然温泉。

食事はダイニングに出向いていただき、 洋間のベッドで寝るので、部屋食や布団の出入れを煩わしいと思う向きには快適な仕組みだと思う。

藤木川に面した、広々とした大浴場では、源泉かけ流しのお湯を、心ゆくまで堪能できる。 木々の薫りを体感できる露天風呂は、快適そのもの。 部屋数が5室と限られている為、お風呂は常に貸切状態だった。 泉質は、さすが奥湯河原、保湿効果が高い気がした。

食事はカウンターとテーブルを配した落ち着いた雰囲気のダイニングで。 旅館にありがちな懐石料理でなく、和洋折衷の創作会席。 料理長おすすめのらんぷすてーき約80g　2,500円（税込）を追加で頼んでみた。 料理全般、頑張っている感じはする。 が、お値段を考慮すると、もう少し感動！があっても良いかと。 たとえば、 望水の朝食の、今まで食べたことが無いぐらい美味しい鯵の干物や、 城山観光ホテルの日本一の朝食ビュッフェや、 時の宿...
