What an amazing experience. For a day or two before the owner was in contact with my husband and our friends who we were traveling with. They told us where to park ( it was offsite as we wouldn't be able to drive in our car to the location). They drove us in a truck where we sat at the back (such a cool experience). On arriving to the camp we went to the reception room and were offered tea and water. They unloaded our luggage. Upon chatting with the owner we learned that many of his family were part of the camp in various capacities such as your guides. The room was clean and the view was amazing. We took the tour they offered and saw local sites where movies were filmed and just some nice viewpoints ending off with a sunset. Along the route they stopped a few times at tents that offered us complementary tea. Very cool experience. We also ate at the camp. Before dinner we sat around the fire where they were heating up the tea. They offered us tea. Slowly all the visitor came and they welcomed everyone so warmly. We all chatted together while waiting for dinner. They cook the food in the ground. It was quite the reveal when they opened it up. Then they brought the veggies, chicken and rice to the eating hall. There were probably around 10 (maybe more) different salads. This was one of the best meals we had in our week in Jordan. We also got the star gazing trip. We drove into the mountains where there was zero light pollution. They made a fire and we had some tea. After the fire died down it was perfectly dark. The stars were amazing. They didn't rush us at all. They said it was an hour but they weren't in any rush and we left when we asked them too. I wanted to watch the stars for a few minutes away from the fire and they were so hospitable and brought the mat over for me. They even offered to bring the tea over when it was ready. I went and sat down with the group for the tea. After returning to the camp we sat out on our porch and watched the stars. There were no bugs, just a beautiful sky. You can see the lights of the town from the camp, but you could still see...
Read moreAdel's Bubble Camp is simply excellent.
From the moment you arrive you feel as warmly welcomed as family. Adel and his brothers run the camp to a brilliant standard, the area is clean, well laid out and organised.
The bubbles are large, clean and the air conditioning does an efficient job of keeping things cool, the showers have good water pressure though you might struggle to get truly cold water out of them during the day (understandable). The bed is large and comfortably firm with stunning views of the night sky right in front of you.
On arrival we booked the Sunset Camel Tour, Stargazing and the Sunrise Jeep Tour. My recommendation is to do this also, as doing a jeep tour in the middle of the day may be a bit intense heat-wise on hotter days.
The Camel tour was very chilled, the camels are well behaved and it was a relaxing way to travel to a scenic area for sunset photos and to watch the sun set behind distant mountains. Shout out to Bilal for leading the way with the Camels, he clearly knows them well!
Star Gazing I recommend taking a mini tripod for your phone or camera if you want to capture some long exposure shots, on a clear night you will definitely see the haze of the milky way with the unaided eye.
The Sunrise Jeep tour was brilliant, with an excellent driver, Ahmad (who is getting married soon big congrats) we saw so many places across the area in 4 hours, Mushroom Rock, Lawrence of Arabia cave, The Martian movie's mountain scene, Big Arch, little arch among others. If you do the zip line, make sure you have a firm grip of the brake handle, at 90kg I picked up a bit too much speed for a comfortable landing.
The food at both dinner and breakfast was great, the Mansaf in particular was very good and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We chatted and had a laugh late into the night drinking coffee around the fire with Adel and his team.
If you're anything like me, you've been looking at the pros and cons of the different camps, comparing locations, views and reviews. Let me save you the trouble, just get Adel's...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience at Bubble Camp in Wadi Rum with Adel and his wonderful family. My husband, our two boys, and I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for from the moment we arrived. Adel and his family are kind, hospitable, and go above and beyond to make guests feel at home.
One of the best things about this camp is the value for money. Their prices are very reasonable—especially the desert tour, which costs about half the price of what other well-known camps charge. Despite the price difference, the tour includes the exact same stops and experiences. All jeeps follow similar routes, so you’re not missing out at all.
Adel’s brother, Bilal, is an excellent photographer. He took stunning, artistic pictures of us during the desert tour, using natural light and shadows beautifully. We also enjoyed stargazing in the peaceful desert night—an unforgettable experience.
The food at the camp was delicious, and everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. We truly appreciated the simplicity, authenticity, and generosity of the whole experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend Bubble Camp for anyone looking to enjoy the real Wadi Rum, with genuine hosts and great service at a fair price. And you might end up either new...
