I recently had the most incredible experience staying at Bedouin Host Camp & Tour in Wadi Rum, and I can't recommend them enough. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The entire team was so supportive, relaxed, and genuinely cared about making our stay unforgettable.
Our Bedouin dinner, cooked under the sand, was a culinary highlight. The full-day and half-day tours were expertly guided, taking us to breathtaking sights and providing fascinating insights into the local culture. One of the most memorable moments was when Waed called a herd of camels for us to pat, and one of our group members actually cried tears of joy!
We witnessed one of the most stunning sunsets of our lives, accompanied by delicious sweet tea. The night was mesmerizing, with the Milky Way sparkling above us. The camp's strategic location allowed me to capture an almost symmetrical photo of the Milky Way seemingly emitting from the rock (as you can see in my first photo, I’m so proud of this one)
Fadi and Waed kept us entertained with their funny stories, jokes, and riddles, ensuring there was never a dull moment. Even after we left, the team's dedication and honesty shone through. My friend forgot their phone, and they went out of their way to drive it to the Wadi Rum visitor center so another customer could bring it to Amman for us.
Of course there are some improvement areas: the youngest crew member is still gaining experience. Additionally, the bus they recommended for our transportation back to Amman was not what we expected, which is not really under their control. The team mentioned that they are open to feedback and plan to improve in this area.
Overall, Bedouin Host Camp & Tour exceeded my expectations in every way. The magical experiences, the incredible hospitality, and the stunning natural beauty of Wadi Rum made it an unforgettable trip. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic and...
Read moreWe stayed two nights and one full day in mid October at Bedouin Host and had an excellent time. The brothers were generous and gracious hosts. Abu Yahya cooked delicious and plentiful food every evening and they showed us how they cook it in the ground in the traditional Bedouin way. Our tent was simple and comfortable, with a lovely little hatch that opened out onto a crazy view of the wadi rum desert, which looks a bit like Mars! After dinner they made a fire and lit candles, served tea and told some riddles. We opted for the full day jeep tour and Nayal took us out from 10am until almost 7 in the evening, we visited over 10 sites across the desert and really enjoyed the ride in the seats on the back of the jeep, feeling the wind rush by. Our host made us a delicious lunch, freshly prepared over a fire he made, served with Salad and tea. He later made more tea over a fire while we watched the sunset in our last stop. Some of the sites were more for taking pictures, some were more historical and others were canyons and gorges that you could walk through. We attempted sand boarding on this tour, can’t say we were very good at it but it was worth a try. The full day tour was very fun and not exhausting as most of it was spent in the back of the jeep. Overall, great value for money, this family was generous with their time, effort and culture and make a big effort to make the experience great for the guests. Thanks Raed, Rashid, Nayal, Abu Yahya, Abdullah and all the other brothers! Would...
Read moreI had an amazing experience with these guys. My JETT bus from Petra dropped me off at the visitor center. I had coordinated with the camp to have me picked up via WhatsApp, and they were waiting for me. Got dropped off at the Wadi Rum village, where I got into another vehicle and was brought to the camp. Raed and his brothers are fantastic hosts. I got a tent to myself with a really comfortable bed. The dining and common tents are pretty good places to hang out at. The traditional dinner was amazing. So, was the after-dinner dance. They have a small bonfire as well, and you can sleep outside the tents if you want. I did a 4 hour jeep tour of the red desert with a few more guests, where we saw some of the spots where movies were shot and some pretty good places for hiking. Cost me 35 JOD. The next day, I went on a solo jeep tour of the white desert which cost 80 JOD, but was absolutely great for rock climbing. Finished the day with an hour long camel ride for less than 15 JOD. The bathrooms and showers are big, but are not directly beside the tents. Do carry a flashlight/phone with you whenever you're out of your tent after evening. The charging sockets are only in the common tent, and charging phones take a lot of time. They do have WIFI, but it's not reliable, and is very slow when multiple people use it. P.S. - This place is also known as Wadi Rum Magic...
