I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the newly renovated Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba with my husband and toddler. What an unforgettable stay we had.
The resort: We stayed in a King Suite with Seaview and I was blown away by the interiors and most of all.. the view. We had a huge double balcony to enjoy the beautiful views (mountains and sea 😍). Sunset from the balcony is just stunning. We were so thrilled to discover how family friendly the resort is. The team provided a big, new travel cot in our bedroom. There were playgrounds, a kids pool and kids club with daily activities. The private beach was just stunning - the sand was so soft. The water was so clear. The team at the beach likely provided my toddler with beach toys to borrow which was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed ordering food and drinks on the beach too that were brought straight to our sun loungers. The atmosphere was so much fun on the beach - we watched boats sail past with music and entertainment. There were so many swimming pools to choose from - including a rooftop pool and jacuzzi! Again, with gorgeous views and a bit more of a quiet, discreet vibe. I loved how the main buffet restaurant goes into a huge courtyard in the middle of the resort - especially with the cooler climate right about now it was perfect for alfresco dining :)
Food: There are a few food outlets to choose from in the resort but we only had time for breakfasts and dinners at the buffet restaurant which boasts a huge selection of fresh foods. They had high chairs available too for babies/toddlers which was really helpful for dining with our little boy. We enjoyed breakfast in the room one morning and wow - what a spread! We had it served up on the balcony and with that morning sunrise… it was a really special morning.
Service: The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of the entire weekend. They really couldn’t do enough to ensure we were happy and comfortable. I really appreciated the warm welcome and attentiveness after such a long car journey. It made all the difference.
Location: I cannot stress how incredible this location is. EVERYTHING was within walking distance. The town was buzzing and the touristy spots were definitely worth exploring because you can easily pop back to the resort if needed (ie. When the toddler needs a break/naptime). Considering the location, there were no audible disturbances at night - which is quite rare for a centrally located resort.
Overall: I’d say the only con was we were only there for the weekend and the stay left us wanting more :) thank you to the whole team for such an...
