Our recent stay at the hotel was truly delightful overall. The property is stunning and has a calming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The rooms are beautifully designed with a charming traditional touch that gives a unique and cozy vibe. However, the bathrooms could benefit from some maintenance and upgrades.|The reception area is absolutely lovely, and we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink served with kindness and care. A special thank you to Ahmad Al-Ajrami at the front desk, who was exceptionally friendly and made our first impression of the hotel a very positive one.|Unfortunately, our experience with housekeeping left something to be desired. Several basic amenities were missing, including bottled water, toothbrushes, enough tissues, and the balcony glass was not thoroughly cleaned. That said, the front desk team handled the situation quickly and professionally. Big thanks to Youssef Taha who ensured all the missing items were provided promptly—his help was much appreciated.|The main swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous, and the addition of sand around it was a unique and creative touch—it truly felt like the beach was brought to us, especially since beach access is a bit challenging. However, I was disappointed to discover that many of the pools featured in the hotel’s photos were not accessible to all guests and were reserved for private use. This was not made clear beforehand and should be better communicated.|The golf cart drivers were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the buggies were always available, making it super easy and convenient to move around the resort. A special shoutout to Malek Kenash for his kindness and professionalism.|Dinner was an absolute highlight. Every dish we tried was delicious, perfectly cooked, and there was a wide variety to choose from. The dinner service staff were also very helpful and pleasant. However, I was surprised to find that the restaurant did not offer any outdoor seating, which would have elevated the experience even more.|Sadly, breakfast was the weakest part of our stay. The selection was very limited, and the available items were not tasty at all. Moreover, the service during breakfast was quite disappointing. It felt like the staff were only focused on one particular table, while the rest of us were largely ignored. The only staff member who genuinely cared about our experience was Mohamed Al-Nawaji, and I truly appreciate his attention and effort.|Finally, I’d like to extend my gratitude to Marwan Shehab and Ali from the reception team for their kindness and assistance during our check-out.|Thank you all for a beautiful stay—despite a few flaws, it was a memorable experience, and we look forward to...
Read moreI’ll start off by saying, upon arrival I was not dissatisfied. The room was nice, but super dirty as far as the floor goes. We were only there for one night so we didn’t complain about it just kind of dealt with it which by the way there should be “anything to deal with” at a “5 star hotel”. Any way, we continued on about our day, the beach entrance is a pretty far distance as it wasn’t communicated that we can call for a golf cart, but when we finally find out, we tried calling and they never came. Thats not even the worst part, we go to dinner after swimming and the dinner they offer is absolutely terrible. I have eaten better food at hotels that costed 25 JD a night. For a 150-200 JD hotel/ resort, a lot more was expected. Best of all, the drink is not included…. Okay no problem I said it can’t be that bad, right? The drinks in the rooms are complementary how much could it be? 7 JD for to drinks…. I’m not a “cheap” person and I like to enjoy luxuries of life, but that’s crazy… I expected at most 1 JD. They closed the hibachi or whatever at 9 when the buffet closes at 10. We went to the Lebanese hookah and belly dance thing and they played no music before or after the belly dancer so all you can hear are a bunch of kids screaming, when I asked to play music the guy said “we close in an hour anyway”. Like !!?!? They then proceeded to bring us our checks that we didn’t ask for as it was only 11:15 (they close at 12). The hookah was only a couple more JD than the drinks we had which is crazy crazy. Not mad at the price of the hookah at all and it was good just barely came around to put coals. Staff only appeared when THEY needed something. We also booked a spa day which is crazy overpriced at 75 JD each but we thought we would give it a try still trying to have high hopes for the place. Amenities are cool just not worth all the money they ask for. I have traveled a lot and have seen many places get over on tourists, but this was another level. Super mid experience thinking we booked at one of the top 3 hotels on the strip judging off of prices. Solid solid super solid 2 star hotel maybe 3 because of the good...
Read moreWorst experience ever, I never was disappointed like this. Don't ever choose Movenpick dead sea. The worst service from the valet, to the restaurant, to the room service. Your request should be repeated 3-4 times to be answered. They say they will do everything you need, but they don't. In the reservation email I was asked of the arrival time, and I replied and tried to arrive in the agreed time, when I arrived the check in was at 3:00 pm, the receptionist said "DEAR, we don't have available rooms", why ask me then of the arrival time? Mini bar is for free. It has one 250 ml pepsi and one 250 ml 7up 😆 1 water bottle each day. If you get thirsty in temperature 41 celsius, you have to pay around 4 JDs for another bottle. We were 2 adults and 1 child. We have to manage 1 bottle. The only place where water is chargeable! This point is funny. I payed for a half board (breakfast and dinner) but juice is chargeable at dinner! Like what the hell did I just experience!? Cockroach in the room Baby crib is disgusting! Old, worn out, moves right and left when you touch it, mattress is small for it. I did not know how I would let my baby sleep in it. In the evening I found that one side of the crib is totally torn out. At this point I was wondering how is the Movenpick a 5 star hotel! I had to take my child to sleep on my bed in the end. The pool is not clean and full of insects of all kinds, butterflies, ants and some others that I did not recognize, tree leaves, some other plastic pieces. I kept getting them out of the pool while swimming, on the next day, I found the things I got out of the pool still there. Isn't there supposed to be a cleaning session every evening? Isn't it the reason they close the pools in hotels? For cleaning? Kid eating ice cream in the pool, the ice cream falls in the water and everything is normal, no comments from the lifeguard on the pool. The attitude of the staff, like they payed for your stay. I know this is a season, and there many people in the hotel. But I payed money, to get a good service. So why don't they do there...
