Merritt Dead Sea resort — Hotel in Balqa

Not a professional receptionist!! Who’s tries to make everything difficult! From no card payment ( had to search for an ATM to provide cash!!) to choosing for us the most awful room !! Trying to convince myself that other Rooms are better!! Broken curtains, stain’s, all tv and ac batteries are 20% working with bitten batteries!!!! No towels or toiletries you have to ask and when we asked we had to negotiate the amount and so!! And more few incidents like street dogs laying all the time in front of the hotel to the curtains falling almost on my son’s head!! And oh yeah the bathroom has a bad smell and all the cleaning is terribly done!

I only gave it 2 star because it’s located by the dead sea which is an experience you wouldn’t...

It's an OK hotel for people who want to spend considerably less on a night at the deadsea, unless you have a car to get to the beach (5 mins away) don't book in there. No views, the surroundings just gravel and dirt. Their swimming pool is ok, they have a private swimming pool for ladies, which was good for us. Staff are nice and helpful, but only if you see one. Call this place a “resort” is offensive. To me it’s just a dirty rat house. The structure is falling apart. Elevator out of service, swimming pool a sewage reservoir. The rooom: no door in the shower, the water flush button of the WC broken, the splinter in the bedroom an empty box. Absolutely no WIFI. I paid for 2 nights but I left after 1 night.
